The Bilstein shock absorbers were replaced. The transmission was replaced at 216,000 and shifts perfectly. The engine has been well serviced by a BMW independent mechanic. Almost all rubber parts have been replaced, as well as the water pump, fan clutch, brakes and radiator. The car runs remarkably smooth, accelerates quickly, stable at all speeds, beautiful to look at and is effortless to drive. You can expect 19-20 miles to the gallon when driven at the speed limit. The interior is in excellent condition without any tears or marks. The body is in great condition with a few nicks in the paint, but nothing major or minor to speak of. Everything works exceptionally, save for the car needing a new heater coil installation. At this price, installation of a rebuilt V-12 gives you a hard to find, Black-on-Black, BMW classic.
