Vehicle Detail

1964 Chevrolet Impala SS California Classic! Here we have one the most sought after mid 60's coupes, up for your consideration. This 64' Impala SS, originally from California, has been owned by the same person for over 30 years!. What this means is that it has a solid history and is still very original and unmolested. It has had some modifications over the years, mostly to the interior, but it's a rock solid cruiser. Runs and drives great and turns heads where ever it goes. This car is equipped with power steering and automatic transmission. It was also equipped with factory A/C. Most of the components are still intact, however the compressor has been removed and the line sets leading in to the cabin have been properly capped off, so restoration of the system would be an easy task. The body is rock solid and totally rust free. Solid, all metal body. The trunk is nearly pristine and has no rot at all. The paint is a beautiful Midnight Blue Metallic and has an awesome shine. Obviously a very professional job. This is however not the original color. The original color was yellow, however the color change was done well. This has its original 283-2V and still runs great. It has a dual exhaust which sounds great. Not too loud or annoying, but a nice mellow rumble. Tires are in very good shape with 75% tread remaining. This is a great driver quality vehicle. This is not a trailer queen or perfect car, however it would not take much to make it a great show car. The engine bay is basically original. It is for the most part, untouched and unmolested. It would only take cosmetic detailing and some touch-up to restore. The interior probably will take the most amount of attention. While still presentable and usable as is, it should probably be replaced. As you can see, it is not original. It is however a very nice velour. The dash pad has the usual cracks. The headliner is still very nice and probably only needs to be re-tucked in places. There is still plenty of summer cruising left to enjoy this classic. Not much work here to make this an awesome car. It is one of the most solid foundations of a car I have seen in some time and if you don't want to work on it until winter, it can certainly be enjoyed as is. With a little work, this can be the star of any show and the value of this car will ONLY increase. I am not a dealer. I do consignment work for specialty vehicles and I do know the owner of this car who is local. While this is a great classic, it is not perfect and is sold AS IS-WHERE IS with no warranty expressed or implied. Local inpections are not only welcomed, but encouraged. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or to arrange a personal inspection. Thanks for looking.
