Vehicle Detail

This Is A Rare Opportunity To Own A True Legedary Classic! 1976 Was The Year Of Firsts, And Especially So For Porsche! Just A Couple Of The Firsts Are As Follows: 1976 Was The Year Porsche Began Galvanizing Their Cars (An Unperfected Science As Can Be Seen In Some Places On The Car) Which Increased Their Longevity And Therefore Protecting Our Investments In Them! 1976, However Was Also The Year That Porsche Introduced The "Wide Body" Turbo Charged 911 To The United States! That Body Change Carried Porsche Through The Next Decades And Still The More Desired And Expensive Porsches Are The Wide Bodied Cars And The Turbos! This First Year USA Turbo Porsche Is a True Collector and Is Just Beginning To Be Recognized. Several Articles Have Been Written Recently About The "Early" Turbo Carreras And Their Excellent Collectability. Their Cutting Edge Racing Technology Barely Suitable For The Street Even By Today's Standards! Even Today These Cars Will Give You A Ride Like No Other Making You Wanna Put On A Racing Harness And Find A Race Track! This Car Is One Of Approximately 500 Produced. Many Of These Cars Met An Early Demise Due To The High Reving 3.0 Litre Turbo, The Heavy Back End, And The Small 15" Wheels, And Underperforming 911s Brakes. This Means Even Less Are Around Now! The 3.0 Turbos Were Only Produced In 1976 And 1977 (Plus 200 European Cars in 1975) Before Porsche Increased The Displacement To 3.3 Litres To "Tame The Beast" By Spreading Out The Power Curve. The 3.3 Turbos Were Used All The Way Up To 1994 When They Introduced The 3.6! Okay, Enough History! This Car, #452, Is Beautiful! While Maintaining Its Overall Originality It Has A Couple Tasteful OEM Upgrades For Safety. The Wheels Are Polished 16" Porsche Turbo Wheels And The Brakes Are Later Model Turbo Brakes As Well. Both Are Done With Safety In Mind And Are "Appropriate" Well Respected Changes In The Porsche Community, Especially With The "Drivers/ Collectors" Crowd . This Car Has A Completely Rebuilt, Original # Matching Engine ($14,000), B&B Stainless Exhaust Monifolds With Heat Exchangers, GHL Muffler (Great Sound!)($4,500), And Many Other Niceities! The Owner Before Me Put $56,700 Into This Car And I've Added To That Just To Tidy It Up. The Car Comes With 2 Covers And A Set Of Sheets! The First Cover Is A Technalon Fabric Cover Specifically For This Car. The Second Cover Is A Waterproof Cover Which Fits Over The Technalon Cover For The Chance That The Car Could Be Exposed To Such Things As Rain! Heaven Forbid! The Sheets Are For The Garage To Protect From The Evening Garage Dust... Also In The Trunk Are 4 Plastic Magnetized Strips To Be Put Along The Doors So Grandma's Shopping Cart Will Just Glance Off Harmlessly And Come To Rest Somewhere Else. All Stories, While Elaborate, Are True. This Car Is Beautiful, Runs Flawlessly, Is Highly Collectable, And Has Had Loving Owners Who Have Babied It! Oh, It Has Two Sets Of Floormats... Meant To Be Used At The Same Time So To Protect The Original Mats, Of Course! Take A Look At The Pictures, I Tried To Show The Near Perfect Mats (Revealed Just For Pictures). There's More That's Been Done As Far As Ongoing Normal Maintenance Items, Too Much To List. I'm Happy To Talk To You If You Have Any Questions. My Number is 215-279-0950.
