Vehicle Detail

I have a reputation of giving long winded descriptions of cars that I list here on ebay. But I like folks to know exactly what they are bidding on so that there are no unpleasant surprises. And everyone has always been happy with their purchase from me. I've sold about 30 cars from about $5k to $40k over the last few years on here. I am a 1st generation Camaro FREAK. I've been restoring them over 30 years now and I'm about to get the hang of it. I rate my cars as "A" , "B" or "C" cars. An "A" is a National contender, never, ever to be driven. A "B" is almost too nice to drive and will win consistantly at the local shows. A "C" is a super nice driver that will pick up a trophy now and then. This car is a "C" type car. I have a lot of requests for good builders. So sometimes I just take a car up to the point where all the hard, scary metal work is done and someone can finish it out to their own taste. That's the case here. On to the car. No motor or transmission. Paint code U6,Lemans blue w/white vinyl top. Int. code 717, blue standard buckets. 1243 vin V-8. Originally had a 327 and 4spd trans. Both long gone. Power drum brakes, 10 bolt non posi rear, power steering and factory air conditioning. The brake and clutch pedal assembly have been converted over to factory auto transmission setup. I started by stripping it down to bare metal. The floor was pretty rough, could have gotten by with just pans, but I decided a full complete new floor would be a lot better, so I installed a new full floor and new seat pedestals. Trunk floor had (2) 3" holes so I installed a new trunk pan w/new gas tank braces. Tailpanel had a bad dent next to the gas filler hole, so I installed a new one. Frame rails, shock mount areas, inner and outer wheelwells were all very nice and solid. Trunk drop offs were repairable but I decided to install new ones while I was at it. Roof was nice. Both bottom corners of the back window were rusted under the old vinyl top, so I installed a new complete back glass to decklid panel and both full quarter panels. New decklid and new rear spoiler. Both rockers were nice. Nice original doors. Nice firewall and cowl areas. The upper dash panel under the windshield had some rust, so I installed a new one. Nice original fenders. Nice original left inner fender. New right inner fender. New core support. new battery tray, new grill brace, new header panel, new lower valance, new SS hood. This is NOT an original Super Sport. New hood latch, new hood striker, nice original cowl panel. All metal work was done with a plasma cutter and mig welder with solid steel core wire. (No flux core ever!) Once all the cutting, welding and grinding was completed, the rough in body work was completed and a buff colored, rust inhibiting polyester primer was applied. The roof, doors and fenders were blocked and primed twice with 80 grit, then everything was blocked with 180 and given a final coat of black lacquer primer. The car can be sanded with 400 and painted for a nice paint job or primed and blocked a couple more times to make it super slick. At this point the car is super solid and straight and ready to paint whatever color you desire. If you wish to put a vinyl top back on it, you will need to get the stainless trim and install clip studs around the back or drill holes and use screws to install the trim clips. Since the trim area is all new steel, I'm leaving it as is. So the vinyl top is optional for you. Here is a list of most everything that is included with the car. Some are already installed,(easy to remove for painting),as the pics show. Everything else can be carefully packed inside the car. Original hideaway headlight housings New headlight doors New headlight door trim New headlight bezels New grill New upper grill molding New lower grill molding All new emblems New side markers and bezels New park light assemblies with lenses New front bumper with nice original brackets and new bolts New back bumper with new brackets and new bolts New taillight bezels, lenses and gaskets New reverse light assemblies w/lenses New gas tank with new stainless 3/8" sending unit and new straps New SS gas cap New wheel well moldings Nice original door and quarter glass (factory tinted) Nice original window regulators Nice original factory tinted back glass with nice stainless trim New tinted and shaded windshield with nice stainless trim New exterior door handles New antennea New left door mirror New upper door and quarter reveal stainless moldings New lower fender, door and quarter RS moldings w/ new clips Nice original auto shifter and console Good solid seats (need new covers) Needs a new radio and heater controls Nice original instrument cluster New dash knobs and bezels New ignition switch New headlight switch Nice 15X7 Rallys with mismatched roller tires, Nice centers and new stainless trim rings Complete new weatherstripping, door, roofrail, trunk, window fuzzies, etc. New body gasket kit New body rubber bumper kit The hood latch, rear bumper brackets and deluxe window fuzzies have been ordered and should arrive soon. So to sum it up, it will need all new brakes(including lines), new fuel line, your drivetrain,a few odds and ends and an interior kit. I have a clear Arkansas title in my name. I will require a non-refundable $500.00 deposit via paypal within 24 hours. Balance by bank wire transfer or cash in hand within 5 days. I can store the car inside for a couple of weeks if need be. I can overnight the title if you like once full payment is received. I can help with loading the car most anytime. Feel free to ask any questions or come by and check it out. Thanks.
