A friend of the family asked us to store this 1971 4 door Mercedes Benz for him so that he could put in an engine and restore the car but that was 17 years ago. Now the friend is moving to Missouri to retire and we are selling the car. It has been stored in a horse shelter for that time. The pictures show what the car looked like when we began to store it for him. This would be a great project car or a great car to restore. Revision 07/15/2010 - The Miles is 6848. I do apologize for this misleading information. When I went out to look at milage I was in a hurry and I looked at the wrong reading the reason being was there a server thunderstorm moving in at the same time that I went out to look. I am adding a picture to show the mileage. Year - 1971 - 4 Door - 4 speed Model - 220D/8* Body – is sound but will need some work in order to give that great paint job. From the looks of it it looks mostly like surface rust. Tires – are not rotten and still have a lot of rubber to them. Bumpers - Yes - Stored inside of the car. Chrome – Yes - Stored in the trunk of the car. Transmission – Yes Engine - No Interior – Red /Black Interior Condition – Needs a lot of cleaning but for the age looks great. Title – Is free and clear. As has been signed and handed over to us from the owner. If you have any questions please conteact me through Ebay and I will answer as best as I can.
