Vehicle Detail
Here's a nice little Ford Focus that my bank is selling at this true, no-reserve auction. Highest bidder will win this cute 40 mpg car. Okay, here's the story as regards the Ford Focus LX. This is a good, solid car that just simply needs to have someone finish rebuilding the engine that is currently out of the car. The top end has already been reassembled. The top end and bottom end of the engine were sent out to a local machine shop for hot tanking, line boring and the like but the shop were the car is located is in financial trouble so the car sits incomplete. I know this because I'm the friendly banker who loaned the shop operating capital that was secured by several car titles. As they cannot complete the work on the car I've taken this action to sell the car. I have the clear, open, signed Florida title in hand that you'll be handed when you pay for the car. My bank will not collect tax from you at the time of sale and you'll be provided an open, signed bill of sale. Here are the detailed particulars as regards the car. At around 185,800 miles the car developed a rod knock. The people that owned it opted to not repair it and sold it to the shop owner who is my banking customer. He began the Focus engine rebuild process and then fell behind on his payments as regards his obligation to my bank. When the car arrived at his location it ran and the A/C was ice cold. Just a noisy motor so he decided to buy the car from the customer, rebuild the engine and then sell the car for a profit at an intended $3,250 finished selling price. When the engine was removed from the car the clutch was discovered to be in very good condition. The car has a new water pump, timing chain, oil pump and crank. The car, itself, is in very good overall condition. There's only one 3" dent on the entire car. It's located on the right front fender and a Dent Wizard guy could remove it for $40. The paint is actually in great shape. There are just a few, minor hard to see scratches here and there but these are tiny. The car needs two inexpensive Ford wheel covers that I've seen on Ebay for $10 each. The interior is in very, very good condition although it needs a good clean up. There are no rips or tears that I've observed and the carpet is in good shape, too. Count on shampooing the entire interior twice. Other Details: The tires have at least 50% of their tread. There's zero rust on the car. It appears to have never been in an accident. I'm guessing that it will cost the buyer about $750 - at most - to complete the assembly and reinstallation of the engine. Call me if you'd like to see the car in person. It's located about 10 miles north east of downtown Orlando, FL.. Longwood, Florida to be specific. Please don't whim bid. bid as if you mean to own the car. Don't bid if your Ebay feedback is under 15. Your $150.00 deposit is due within 72 days of auction's close. Full payment is due 7 days after auction's end. For the bank's sake we're selling the Focus in "as is" condition. Thanks. Mark Leonard, 1-321-279-8849.
