This is the one you have been waiting for. All original 1981 VW P/U. Not a showpiece, but an amazingly efficient daily driver. Starts and runs perfectly. I am the second owner. Non smoker. 1981 vw Rabbit "Caddy" diesel pickup truck. 1.6L diesel with 4spd manual transmission. Baby blue original paint. Very little rust. Paint is a little faded. Bought it 4 months ago from original owner. Only 113,xxx original miles. Interior is near perfect for a vehicle of this age. Headliner has been removed due to sagging. I have it, but it could be recovered with dark blue vinyl to match interior. No tears in seats. No cracks in dash. Original am/fm factory radio works. Includes Leer "Macho" camper shell. All glass is in great shape. Truck doesn't have a/c. Never did. Everything on the truck works as designed. Signals, lights, etc. These are the newer parts: Timing Belt, Water Pump, Fuel Injector, Injector Hoses, Radiator hoses, Wheel bearing (rear). All this was repaired by Autos of Europe on Manchester by the previous owner. Over $1500 in repairs completed 8/24/09. The truck runs fantastic. Cruises easily with Highway traffic. The body has a few small dents and dings. The grille has a small crack. See pictures. I have all receipts of repairs. I have the original window sticker, owner's manual, maintenance log, and VW rubber key This truck was a rare find and I hate to part with it. It has an Original Missouri Title. Never Salvaged. All original truck. I've been driving it daily and average 45 mpg. 10 gallon tank costs about $30 to fill up and I get between 400-450 miles on that!! Any questions, just email me.
