This 1972 Mercedes 280 sel (4.5 LITTER V8) is in amazing condition with the odometer showing 5100 miles which my mechanic believes to be original as the car never leaving my grandfathers garage for 35 years and the condition, everything works perfect the car belonged to my grandfather and was never driven for 35 years as it sat in garage then i acquired it in 2006. This car runs perfect everything works sunroof,all windows,all interior lights,new stereo system with HD radio and blue tube custom installed alpine speakers and amp. The air conditioning was just serviced and blows 56 degrees at idle and this car always runs cold even with the A/C on full blast in 120 degree last vegas weather ,as of last week i changed the radiator,thermostat all hoses and belts,battery,plugs,wires,distributor,starter,fan clutch all new fuse box,fuses.(All the wiring in the car is in great condition and work 100% with no problems)all the body rubber is in good to great shape.The A/c system work as good as new and so does the heater which has a new core.ALL THE WOOD IN THE CAR IS IN GOOD CONDITION WITH NO CRACKS BUT COULD USE A REFINISH.The interior is all in-tack with about 6 cracks through out the front seats it is about a 6 out of 10 it doesn't need to be replaced but eventually this is the only thing that i would change to make the car like new.The paint is good from close and excellent from about 4 feet id rate it at 7 out of 10 there is one 4 inch scratch on the drivers side fenders, there is your normal nicks and very small pits nothing serious.The chrome is 100% good with a like new shine.THERE IS NO RUST PERIOD THIS IS A DRY DESERT CAR.(100% RUST FREE)The tires are brand new with 100% tread new brakes,shocks and struts I have spent over $8000.00 dollars in improvements in the last month. I drove the car on a 500 mile road trip and it cruised the freeway at 90 with 2 fingers on the wheels on cruise control(YES THE CRUISE CONTROL WORKS PERFECT) THE CAR IS A ONE OWNER CAR CLEAR NEVADA TITLE WHICH IS REGISTERED TILL DEC 2010.
