For Sale is a 1965 MUSTANG GT CONVERTIBLE 289/ AUTO-----TO RESTORE-----This is an "A" Engine Code car 289 4V, Has 2V on it now. Transmission is C-4 Automatic (cruisamatic). The car has long support struts that extend from the firewall to the front ends of the fenders, these I have not seen on mustangs before. Has the nice wood steering wheel that now needs restored also(RARE) Has factory disc brakes and power top. Body on car is very straight with no dents, front left fender appears to have been replaced right one still has the GT Badge on it and the GT stripes still on car. Grill and all of front is still in tact and has the mounts for the fog lights (all there but the lights) Has complete A/C unit similar to the factory unit..... Compressor there and in tact also. Appears that the only thing the car is missing is the seats ---- THATS IT------ Convertible top frame and mechanism has been taken off (its all in tact) Original color of car is dark green and has parchment (cream color) interior. THIS CAR WILL NEED FLOOR PANS AND SIDES IN TRUNK AND REAR FRAME RAILS....... The floors need to be replaced mainly due to previous owner taking convertible top off and leaving it exposed to the weather. Will take body tag and decode all of it, call if you want to get details on codes, I'll try to post codes later........ ON THE RIGISTRATION THAT I HAVE FROM THE PREVIUOS OWNER IT SHOWS THE MILAGE OF 35,000 IN 1985 ( YES 1985) AND NOW ON THE ODOMETER IT SHOWS 47,000 MILES.... COULD THIS BE THE ORIGINAL MILES?????????? I know there is much that I have left out, please do not hesitate to call me and ask any questions.....
