Vehicle Detail

I'm a private collector and I'm clearing out some of my 30 cars. I'm into muscle cars so I'm not sure why I bought some of these several years ago, but it's a shame to see them sit in storage. I start and drive them a couple times a year to make sure everything is correct. This Buick says 1952 on my clear title in my name, but someone told me it's a 1953. In any case the VIN is correct. A little history on this car. Some kid had it in Chicago. His grandfather bought it new. He put different springs in it to LOWER IT! UGHH! As soon as I trailered it back to my place I put new springs in that I bought from Kanter to bring her back to stock. Also, I put stock steel wheels back on her and noticed that in a sales brochure from 53 wheel rims were red. Put in on new tires as well. The engine runs great and mechanically is just fine. The radio doesn't work or the clock. There is NO rust anywhere on this car, not even the frame and the paint looks great. I suspect the kid had it repainted the original color. The top of the rear seat is sun faded and it opened (shown in picture) up. Think a reupholsterer could fix her up for not too much. There are no cracks in the glass AND SOMEONE SPENT A TON OF MONEY TO HAVE ALL THE CHROME REDONE. It's EXCELLENT! The 3 chrome vents on the fenders though are getting some surface rust and pits from the car just sitting. The brakes are good too and I just rebuilt the master cylinder. Everything under the hood is stock except for the battery. As all collector cars, I would have this car trailered if you buy it. I wouldn't drive a 1980 Camaro across state let alone a 50's car. I prefer cash on this sale but a bank check would be okay. I WILL NOT SELL TO ANYONE OUT OF THE CONTINENTAL 48 UNITED STATES. I will assist your carrier with shipping but shipping is not included nor are any warranties of any kind. It's a good old car and whoever buys it can just drive it and enjoy her. The car can be seen by appointment at my place in Friendship, Wisconsin. I reserve the right to end this auction at any time. Also, I collect cars, I have over 30 of them but I HAVE NEVER SOLD ONE OF THEM. You kind of get attached to them and I must say that I'm having second thoughts about listing this car in the first place. I will let the auction run, but I am not going to relist if it doesn't sell. I don't need to sell it, just didn't want to store it. It's a nice car.On Jul-14-10 at 03:19:01 PDT, seller added the following information: When I return Thursday morning I will be adding pictures of the car frame. It's all GOOD!
