Up for bids here is a 2005 Chevrolet Corvette. It has the removable targa top, Factory Navigation, 6 Speed manual, Heads up display and the LS2 engine. It has 57,100 Miles. I bought the car 2 years ago from Decorah Chevrolet in Iowa. About 12 months ago i decided i wanted a Z06 that had the removable Targa Top so i did a COMPLETE Z06 BODY conversion to the vehicle!! It has all original Factory GM, NEW, non damaged and not repaired or used parts. Every part of the conversion is original and was brand NEW, Genuine GM pieces. The conversion was done professionally by Motor City Steel (high performance Shop in Commerce Township, Michigan) so the paint would all blend perfectly and it would look like a factory Z06, paint and workmanship is top notch, this is not a shadetree amateur job. Professional and Top Notch through and through GM made around 180 Daytona Sunset Orange Metallic Z06's in 2006 its the rarest color of the factory Z06s ever made. After 2006 the orange got a little lighter and is known as Atomic Orange. This car also has a NEW set of Factory Corvette Z06 Brakes on it, these were over $1500. Complete Conversion has about 6k miles on it, the fit finish and workmanship once again is excellent. This car was NOT wrecked. The wheels are the 09+ "spyder" style these are not GM, they are aftermarket wheels, back tires are shot, they are fine for shipping and test drives but i wouldnt reccomend a cross country drive. fronts have decent life left. I also changed the entire interior over from the Cashmere to a complete Ebony Black interior out of a 2008 Z06. The only thing i didnt change is the seatbelts so you will need to get a set of black ones or just dye these to match. Car also has a brand new transmission (Brand New installed less than a year ago) as well as a NEW ls7 Clutch and brand new Flywheel. Trans and Clutch installed at about 51k miles. The rear differential was just serviced. The engine and the rest of the drivetrain is all stock. LS2 motor. This car is ready to go. Just had it tuned up and inspected and it checks out perfect. Car has a CORSA Xtreme exhaust installed as well as the CORSA X-Pipe. It includes the original body panels and the original exhaust. Original interior has been sold, sorry. The quality of this conversion is excellent, it was done professionally so you can expect it to be as close to a factory Z06 as you can be without the $80k price. Car has a couple scratches in the paint that are all illustrated in the pictures. Nothing serious but the imperfections are all pictured. I can have rear tires installed at the buyers expense if you plan to fly in and drive the car home. This car is selling at NO RESERVE. I am moving in 1 month and need this car sold and gone by then. The driver door release switch started acting up though. Sometimes it will function normally other times it wont work and you have to use the manual release lever. I took it to the dealership this morning and they said it needed a new button/ switch. There is one on ebay right now for under $30. I WILL NOT be able to get this fixed before the sale, I have too much going on.
