Vehicle Detail
Rare 1970 Suzuki T500 Titan street bike. I have gone through this entire motorcycle and rebuilt the top end with new rings, light cylinder honing and new gaskets. It has excellent compression on both cylinders. The carbs have been overhauled and tuned. Starts right up and idles smooth and nice. You can either burble down the road like an old grandma or catapult yourelf down the road like a rocket, your choice. Hold on for the second option! The motor is a 2 stroke, twin cylinder power plant with a 5 speed transmission. The bottom ends on these bikes are virtually bulletproof with roller bearings on the crankshaft and transmission. The 2 cycle oil injection system works well so you do not have to manually mix the gas and oil. They are excellent candidates for Vintage AHRMA road racers so you dont see many in original form anymore, especially the earlier years. This one runs very nice and shifts through the gears with ease. The clutch is smooth and does not slip or grab. All the switches and controls work as designed. The headlight and tail light work good, there are no turn signals, as they were not required before 1975, but they do have the factory mounts for them. The 2 cycle oil injection system works well so you do not have to manually mix the gas and oil. Both front and rear tires have good tread. There is some weather checking on both. The seat is nice and firm with no rips or tears. The seat pan is solid. All the chrome is original and clean with minor surface pitting/rust which is typical on a 40 year old Japanese motorcycle. The exhaust is complete with good baffles in both mufflers. There are no cracks, holes or rust in the mufflers. There is new Dupont metal-flake lime green paint (close to original) on the tank with professionally made replica decals and also on the side covers. I have also added European handlebars and bar end mirror for a more comfortable ride when on the hiways. This bike is an excellent commuter which also delivers great gas mileage along with very obvious vintage looks and sounds. How many 2 stroke street bikes do you see on the road anymore? I will assist with shipping as much as possible. I can deliver to a loading facility in Omaha, Nebraska for no extra charge or can store the bike in my shop, again for no extra charge, as long as the bike is paid for in full. You can get a free quote for shipping at funtransport.com or get multiple quotes bid to ship the bike at Uship.com. I have used both with excellent results. Please feel free to ask questions or request additional pics, thanks and good luck!
