Up for grabs is a pristine 1989 BMW K100RS sports touring machine. The bike only has 22,660 miles on it. It has had two owners, the second owner purchased the bike in May 2001 with only 16,000 miles on it. The bike has been garage kept for all it’s life. Metzler ME880 Marathon tires were installed in June 2006 at 21,130 miles. With just over 1,000 miles on them, they still look like new. The bike comes with genuine BMW side cases with removable soft carrying luggage, and a tail mount trunk. Also included is a soft tank bag. There is plenty of storage on this machine for a sports touring adventure. A Corbin seat keeps you comfy on those long rides. The bike has been maintained very well throughout it’s life. Oil has been changed regularly and BMW specific oil was always used. It has had a major service by a dealer about 2 years ago. The bike has always run perfectly smooth. The ABS brakes are smooth and stop very well. This is an exceptionally well built and reliable bike. The K100 motor was known as the “Flying Brick” because of its shape and indestructibility. There are K100’s on the road today with over 300,000 miles on them! There is still plenty of support for this machine, both from BMW and aftermarket areas. DOHC 983cc inline fuel injected 4 cylinder 8 valve liquid cooled engine has 90 hp. 5 Speed Transmission is coupled via a dry clutch and maintenance free shaft drive to the rear wheel. Front Brembo disk brakes with 2 piston calipers, rear single disk brake, the bike is equipped with Anti-Lock Brakes. Overall the bike is very clean, well maintained and ready for its next owner.
