Vehicle Detail
Hello, Here is my Volkswagen Beetle for sale that I have owned for the past 10 years It started as a stock 1974 beetle, and thats what the title is, and I customized it to look like a pre '67 model This project was finished the summer of 2004, and I have driven it for those 6 summers I have a new project now and this one must go. It runs and drives and I have estimated about 45,000 miles since completion FRONT SUSPENSION 2" Narrowed, lowered, and adjustable torsion beam- ball joint type (Ron Lummus Racing) 2.5" dropped Spindles (CB Performance) 3-way adjustable shocks ( Competition Engineering) REAR SUSPENSION 1973 Thing Torsion Bars and Arms - Larger and Stronger than stock 74 beetle Street Shocks (KYB) Polyurethane bushings TRANSAXLE IRS Pro Comp Transaxle (Rancho) Bus CV's and new axles - Larger and Stronger than Beetle Thick Forged Drive Flanges Trans Strap Kit (CB Performance) ENGINE 1914cc 69mm crank and 94mm bore 042 heads w/solid bolt type rocker shafts w/swivel feet MSD Ignition box, distributor, coil Weber 44 IDF carburetors Hex carb linkage (CB Performance) Just replaced - new voltage regulator w/rebuilt alternator Merged Header into dual quiet packs, also have straight pipe that goes with car BODY One-piece front end (Creative Car Craft) Full Roll Cage- missing bar behind front seats to make it legal but easier for rear passengers to enter and exit Replaced both Floor pans in 2003 10 gallon Aluminum Fuel Tank Doors were replaced Original Seats Headliner was replaced Fiberglass fenders 3" wider with frenched taillights- Need some work they're in rough shape Missing rear apron - It flew off on the highway somewhere Body has some dents and scratches but nothing major Heater channel on driver's side was replaced The only rust on this car is the pass. side heater channel in front of rear wheel, about 5" long BRAKES AND WHEELS Stainless Steel Brakes Lines throughout Braided Stainless Steel hoses Drum Brakes all around- work great, even the parking brake cables replaced American Racing vintage wheels 14 x 5.5 - Also have 3 spare rims and tires that go to buyer Tires Front - Brigestone Potenza 165/65 Tires Rear - General 185/75 I said I'd never sell it, check out my ebay user name, but I have lost interest and moved to the American Muscle cars. My new project is a 67 pontiac Lemans and I need the funds to build an engine I have a truck and trailer to transport the car for a fee if you are interested Thanks for looking, any questions you can email me or call me James (630) 361-4702
