Thank you and good luck. ***** UP FOR AUCTION IS A GORGEOUS LOOKING 1968 FORD MUSTANG CONVERTIBLE C-CODE 289 V8 CAR WITH ADDED GT OPTIONS, SHOWING 17,082 MILES ON THE ODOMETER THAT RUNS/DRIVES SUPER, AND YOU CAN HOP IN AND TAKE IT CRUISING AT YOUR LEISURE ANYTIME. FACTORY OPTIONS: Power steering Power convertible top Manual drum brakes Single exhaust Stock C-code 289ci/200hp V8 motor Stock Automatic transmission Stock AM radio Black bucket seat interior ADDED GT TRIM (Gt wheels, GT flip-open gas cap, GT "C-stripe", GT emblems, and GT grille fog lights) This 68 Mustang convertible has been adult owned and enjoyed throughout. It's a cool turn-key driver that I purchased from a dealership in the Northeast a few months ago and have been doing some work on it in my spare time. The vehicle was FRESHLY PAINTED about a year ago in a nice driver-quality paintjob. Since I got it, I have added the GT trim, fixed up the interior with a new carpet, door panels, and reupholstered the driver's seat. The exterior received new emblems, fog lights, some new trim and then I sent the car out to my shop to have the body wetsanded and buffed out, and we patched the floorboards where needed as well as undercoated the entire bottom of the car. Interior is in GOOD overall condition. Seats in good shape (driver's seat redone, bottom of rear seat has a couple of small rips that I didn't get to). Steering wheel is nice with a few small cracks. Dash is good. Door panels are new as is one armrest. Convertible top is older and looks presentable, rear window is foggy. Overall a nicely presentable high-end driver quality interior! Underside received a new set of shocks, exhaust was put on a couple of years ago, floors were patched, passenger side torque box was rebuilt, and the entire underside was coated with thick undercoating. Under the hood lies the stock 289ci/200hp motor that runs beautifully. I just replaced the battery, starter, starter cable and dressed up the engine with some chrome as you can see. The car runs/drives beautifully and starts at the turn of the key. Runs great and idles great. Transmission shifts nice and smooth. Brakes stop well although pedal is a little spongy. Steering is nice and nimble and the car rides very well. I've taken it around town and on the highway several times and it has never let me down. Being an old car, it is NOT perfect by any means. Paint shines up VERY GOOD with good luster for a nice driver but it has various small imperfections as you would expect. Not working: fog lights (not hooked up), horn, convertible top (operates manually fine), perhaps a bulb or two need replacing, hood mounted turn signals (not connected). bumpers have some pitting and small rust spots and rocker panel moldings shold be replaced as they're weathered. Dash cluster could use detailing or rebuild as the edges have been painted black. Missing: radio, jack. That's about all I was able to notice. It may need a few other tiny things as any other used car, so please keep that in mind. THIS IS A VERY SHARP LOOKING 1968 MUSTANG CONVERTIBLE WITH 17K MILES SHOWING ON THE ODOMETER AND A GREAT COLOR COMBINATION SO YOU CAN'T MISS IT ANYWHERE YOU TAKE IT. LOTS OF RESTORATION WORK DONE AND IT RUNS/DRIVES EXCELLENT AND YOU CAN HOP IN AND DRIVE IT RIGHT NOW. GREAT CAR FOR COLLECTOR OR ENTHUSIAST TO ENJOY OR FINISH WITH SOME TLC!.
