Thank you and good luck. ***** UP FOR AUCTION IS A GREAT LOOKING, OLDER RESTORED 1966 FORD MUSTANG CONVERTIBLE C-CODE 289 V8 CAR WITH 39,231 MILES SHOWING ON THE ODOMETER THAT RUNS/DRIVES SUPER WITH MATCHING NUMBERS MOTOR AND FACTORY AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION, AND YOU CAN HOP IN AND TAKE IT CRUISING AT YOUR LEISURE ANYTIME. FACTORY OPTIONS: Power steering Manual drum brakes Dual exhaust MATCHING NUMBERS C-code 289ci/200hp V8 Stock Automatic transmission Stock AM radio White bucket seat interior Stock steel wheels with correct hubcaps wearing radial tires This 66 Mustang convertible has been adult owned and enjoyed throughout. It's a cool turn-key driver with MATCHING NUMBERS that has had an older restoration sometime in the late 80s/early 90s and has since been driven only on occasion for classic car events. Factory red car from the looks of it, with great looking white interior and white top. Starts at the turn of the key and can be driven anywhere. Absolutely 100% STOCK with no visible modifications of any kind that I was able to notice. Interior is in EXCELLENT condition. Seats, door panels, carpeting, have all been redone professionally. Steering wheel is nice. Dash and doors are nicely painted to match. Convertible top is VERY GOOD with minor general wear and a couple of tiny repairs. It goes up and down very well. Overall a beautifully presentable high-end driver quality interior! Under the hood lies a 100% stock MATCHING NUMBERS 289ci 2BBL. motor that has been professionally rebuilt a few years ago. The car runs/drives beautifully and starts at the turn of the key. Runs great and idles great. Transmission shifts nice and smooth. Brakes have been serviced some time ago and stop great. Steering is nice and nimble and the car rides absolutely stock as a 66 Mustang should. The only modification has been the addition of frame connectors at the bottom. You can easily FLY IN AND DRIVE THE CAR HOME ANYWHERE, it is that reliable. I've taken it around town and on the highway several times and it has never let me down. Being an old car, it is NOT perfect by any means. Paint shines up FAIRLY GOOD with good luster for a presentable driver but it is older and has various imperfections as you would expect. Shock towers look pretty decent, as do the floorboards which may have had some minor work in the past but look solid. Torque boxes are in one piece with evidence of prior work done (again, pretty solid!). Trunk looks good as well with no large holes or any major rot anywhere. Not working: radio, perhaps a bulb or two. Missing door data plate, spare, jack. Some minor bubbling at lower door corners, barely noticeable and here and there in a couple of spots. Carburetor has a flat spot at around 10-15 mph but works well regardless. Frame rails look pretty solid front and rear, except for some welding around driver's side torque box. That's about all I was able to notice. It may need a few other tiny things as any other used car, so please keep that in mind.
