Clean, rust free Alfa Romeo 164L. Very nice italian Sport sedan, more unique than ANY spider ( and tons more comfortable!). It has been a California car since sold new in the Bay area, and has always resided here. Absolutely ZERO rust. NO corrosion, rusting or surface anything anywhere on the car! Engine is the factory 3.0L. Automatic transmission shifts nice and precise, with NO slippage or lag. Extremely responsive fuel-injected engine.t was replaced in 2002 with a new factory motor ( odometer was reset at zero then, I do not know why; I would imagine because of the new engine). Lots of documented service and repair, including all new brakes, struts, upper ball joints, suspension components, AC unit, etc. I had the heads redone in 2008. I have also had new injector seals, various hoses, sensors, alternator, brake rotors, rear brakes, etc. replaced at maintenance time. I have also had the usual Alfa quirks fixed, such as non-working blower, all the Power windows, the sunroof, the Power locks and Power antenna, when I had a new KENWOOD CD player installed last year. I recently had it in for service locally and had an inspection done at the same time. I was advised at that time that there are some suspension components that are worn from age and will require to be replaced ( upper ball joints, one tie rod end and control arm bushings; it had the lower ball joints replaced in 2005, along with a $1400 service). There is also a bad oil pressure sensor ( I have changed it twice and it never reads correctly; this was an issue with ALL 164s since new, as some of the documentation also attests where it was taken to the Alfa dealer when new); need of new wiper blades and a faulty antenna motor ( which has already been replaced). Taken all this into consideration, I have already lowered the price considerably to allow ample room for the servicing done; if it does not sell, I will have the suspension components replaced and will raise the price accordingly, so here is an opportunity to save quite a few $. There are NO 164 Alfas in similar condition for this price, unless you wish to buy some sketchy swamp find, abandoned tow-yard recycle or a rust bucket from somewhere else! I would like to ensure that all and any issues are disclosed, even though this is a twenty-year old car, so ask questions BEFORE palcing a bid. This is NOT a $ 100K new Alfa, so please, intelligent questions only! It does run very well, and it is fairly fast for a sedan. Rides extremely comfortably, and looks good. The interior upholstery has held up rather well, with NO cuts, rips or mends to the upholstery. The bottom of the driver's seat has average wear as expected, NO rips. The rest looks very nice. CLEAN, NON-SAGGING headliner. CLEAN carpeting, door panels and the rest of the interior as well. Additionally, I had the windows professionally done, and they look great! The trunk and all its carpeting are very clean as well. NON SMOKER! Nice, clean rust-free Alfa 164, very reasonably priced. I would like payment to be received within FIVE days please.
