Estate sale,one owner car. 65,300 original Km(39,457miles). This immaculate one owner car was custom ordered through the purchaser's local Cadillac dealer in the fall of 1987. The Cotillion White exterior and plush burgundy Velvetine interior is a very rare combination making this luxury automobile even more collectible.The car was purchased to be used exclusively for weekend travel to and from the owner's summer residence. It has been stored indoors and has not been driven in snow or even seen a winter for that matter,therefore making this car completely rust and or corrosion free. Annually prior to winter storage,fuel stabilizer had been added to a full tank of premium fuel and the engines cylinder's, carburetor and intake fogged using top grade marine products. The Cadillac has been dealer maintained using genuine GM parts and fluids. Currently the vehicle is in excellent running condition and needs nothing mechanically,a complete service has been performed and the car is ready to go to a good home. This Brougham d'Elegance truly drives like new. The steering is tight and accurate,the suspension absorbs any road imperfections and offers a very smooth ride with the self leveling air bag rear suspension. The engine operates smoothly throughout it's powerband and offers decent performance for a car of this size and vintage. Average fuel consumption over the years has been a steady 23-24mpg at highway speed. With less than 40,000 original miles this 307 cu.in (5.0liter)V-8 uses no oil between services nor does it drip or leak. The transmission shifts smooth and soft like it should. There are no drive-line vibrations. All brake components function well,no pulling,squealing or rubbing.The tires have plenty of tread remaining,I would estimate 70-75%. All electrical accessories function properly including the rear passenger courtesy lights located on the pillars,all ashtray lights and cigarette lighters.The only visible wear on the interior of the car is the upper most portions of the Velvetine door panels,nearest the glass are showing a small amount of U.V related sun fade,a very minor detail but something that should me mentioned none the less. On the exterior there are two quarter size spots where small rock chips had been touched up,once again very minor but I prefer to be upfront and direct about anything I represent on Ebay. One result was a major effort to further improve its overall interior, exterior, and mechanical features. A new cross-hatch grille, revised header molding and new park and turn signal lamps were introduced. Red reflexes were added to the rear panel and a Cadillac script replaced the Fleetwood script on the deck lid. Brougham script replaced Fleetwood Brougham on the quarter panels. The upgraded d'Elegance version shared the features of the 1986 model along with the changes found in the Brougham. A new tri-color saddle interior combination was used on both models.
