Vehicle Detail
(1 of only 1,164 produced) The 1962 Pontiac Acadian Beaumont (Chevy Nova) This is a very rare classic. For all intense and purposes, this car has nearly the identical specifications as the Chevy Nova except for the two major differences of the split grill and very cool tail lights. Another major difference is ONLY 1,164 were made! Now you can have the highly desired body style of the Chevy Nova, with a heaping amount of rarity and uniqueness of the Pontiac Beaumont. Imagine all the double takes at car shows (lol). The Beaumont was the top of the line model with a trim package so rare, you've most likely never seen it before now. There is a large envelope of informational paperwork from GM of Canada that goes along with the car. I bought this project a few years ago from a guy in New Jersey so there is rust. My recent divorce has forced me to sell. I have over $8k invested, but because of my need to sell, set the reserve at a very low $3k. This car needs a battery and ignition switch as someone tried to steal it from me a few years back. The passenger side has been lightly sanded in places as I had paid a body man to go through the body for me and clean things up. Big mistake. After he got my $900, he skipped town. Never pre-pay on bodywork...never! I've learned my lesson. Please check out the photos for more information. I also have the very rare fender trim pieces that go on top of the front of the fenders (not shown in photos). Considering the current economy, I have set a very reasonable reserve for this car. This car is sold as is with no warranty written or implied. I have not moved the car in years, but it's quite possible that a battery is all it needs to start—however, for safety considerations, I highly recommend having the vehicle shipped as I would not drive this car on a public street until a mechanic has had the chance to completely go through the drive train, engine, suspension, all fluids, hoses, lines, etc.On Jul-19-10 at 13:33:21 PDT, seller added the following information: First the Good News! This car will be sold as my reserve has been met. Now for other News...I had a few questions regarding the rust on this 48 year old car. The truth is, I really do not know the extent of the rust except for what I can see. I would recommend replacing the trunk pan as it feels kinda soft. It could be just the thin metal there, but I don't know. The floor pans were replaced, but they replaced them over the top of the existing ones. I planned on removing the original floor pan and keeping just the new one they installed. I've added some more pictures of the floor boards, rear end, undercarriage, under dash and trunk areas for your viewing pleasure. Please continue to ask questions and I'll be sure to give you a speedy reply. Thank you all for your interest and happy bidding! :) Additional pictures link: http://s41.photobucket.com/albums/e280/LibbyWeifenbach/62%20Acadian%20Pics/ On Jul-19-10 at 13:45:16 PDT, seller added the following information: PASSWORD TO VIEW PICS ON LINK: AcadianOn Jul-19-10 at 14:23:17 PDT, seller added the following information: OK I apologize.
