Vehicle Detail

2001 Ford F250 Super Duty 2X4 Regular Cab Long Bed 7.3L Diesel with a 6 speed manual transmission This is a good truck and vary will proven truck. Kelley Blue Book values it at $7,425.00 Here is a link to Kelley Blue Book so you can see for yourself. http://www.kbb.com/kbb/UsedCars/PricingReport.aspx?YearId=2001&Mileage=329669&VehicleClass=UsedCar&ManufacturerId=15&ModelId=843&PriceType=Private+Party&VehicleId=4198&SelectionHistory=4198%7c34261%7c61244%7c0%7c0%7c162687%7ctrue%7c162720%7ctrue&Condition=Fair&QuizConditions= If you went there then you saw that a 2001 Ford F250 Super Duty Regular Cab Long Bed with a 7.3L diesel and a 6 speed manual transmission goes for as much as $8,420.00 in "EXCELLENT" condition. My truck falls somewhere between "FAIR" ($7,045.00) and "GOOD" ($7,895.00). So that is how I came up with the price you see above. But to move this truck fast, I’m setting the "reserve price" one half that price or at $3.700.00 Here is why I feel that the truck isn’t up to "GOOD" or "EXCELLENT" condition; 1) Needs a new emergency brake cable. It stuck the last time it was driven. 2) Will need a new clutch pressure plate vary soon. When hot, it’s hard to get in gear. 3) There is some signs of rust around the rear wheel wells, small dents, one on rear bumper, a vary small one on front bumper and a vary small one on tail gate. 4) Spare tire cable that holds the spare up under the rear is broke. 5) Will need rear tiers in about 10,000 miles. Here are what I feel are the good points about the truck; 1) The air is super cold! 2) The 7.3 liter engine is the biggest ever put into a pick-up. Ford started using 6.0L diesel engines in 2002. So this truck was the last year for the super diesel engines. But almost all service trucks, school busses and so on, use the larger motor so used one are easy to come by and cheep. 3) This particular truck was own by a trucking company that had a US Mail contract. They put 100,000 miles on it a year for the three years that they had it. I got it when it had 303,000. Admittedly the trucking company took much better care of it then I did (I just wish I had held on to the 3/4 inch high pile of service records that came with the truck). All fluids changed every week (even rear-end and transmission), wheel bearings every 6 months. And gone over with a fine tooth comb (there’s no way a privet individual could keep up that maintenance plan). So, there you have it. Everything I know about this truck. In short... It’s a good truck that needs a little work in order to put it back into showroom shape, going for vary little money. So if you need a truck that can out pull any other truck on the road, here it is. I’ve owned it for seven years and in that time I never had a brake down. This truck will go another 300,000 miles with vary little work...
