Vehicle Detail
A TRULY MAGNIFICENT MOTORCAR: A CLASSIC WITH THE HEART OF A HOT ROD This California 1953 Bentley R-Type is as fast and smooth as it is gorgeous. Equipped with a 5.7L Chevrolet V-8 and TurboHydramatic 350 automatic, this car moves and moves quickly. Maintain 80-90 MPH freeway speeds all day long if you want. It stops just as well with power front disc brakes. Power to the ground is supplied via a Ford 9" rear end. You get all of the charm and style of a genuine British icon without any of the mechanical troublespots that can set you back tens of thousands to put right. Updates have been done to a very high, professional standard. You'll be the sensation of any tour or cruise night when you arrive in this fine motorcar. Arguably the finest looking and built postwar Bentley, there were only 2300 made between 1953-55. It was the first Bentley under Rolls Royce Motors stewardship to be built as a Bentley first, Rolls Royce (Silver Dawn) afterwards. It features a standard factory sunroof, bud vases, picnic tables, foot rests, vanity lighting, Sirius satellite radio, Magellan GPS and AM/FM/CD head unit. It is luxury and performance combined in a way you will not find elsewhere. This car is reliable and trouble free and was used without fail for over 5 years in the Wedding Car trade. You can easily make your investment back if you do likewise. I'd be happy to tell you how. Mileage is represented as 20000, but true mileage unknown. Estimate is approximately 20K miles since restoration. Tires have at least 80% of tread remaining and are DiamondBack-supplied 16" modern Hankook radials with wide whites manufactured into them. Headlights are reproductions of the originals and the car includes a pair of Lucas 576 Flamethrower driving lights. The original Trafficator turn signals still work, but the car has been better equipped with convention turn signals as well. The car has been relentlessly maintained and needs nothing. You can enjoy it immediately and for many, many years to come. If you are reading this listing, you are lucky to have an opportunity like this before you. To recreate anything close would cost well over $75K. You will never find another like this unless you build your own. Call 760-533-0150 or email me with questions.
