This is a very nice original 1966 Mercedes 230. It has been in the same family since new. It was originally purchased in 1966 in Germany and shipped to California where it has spent its entire life. First the grandmother owned it, then the mother, and finally her son. I just recently aquired it and have spent a little time detailing it and tuning it up a bit. Overall the car has been very well maintained. I have complete service records since new to present. All of the original owners manuals are included. The car has been repainted once since new and was done in the original mercedes blue color that it came with. The body is in pretty decent shape with olny some minor rust spots on a couple of the lower doors. appears to be only cosmetic Other than that it is rust free. The engine starts right up and runs strong. The transmission shifts fine in all gears. The tires are older and will need to be replaced. All of the electrical systems work. The air conditioning blows cold air but could probably use a recharge. The dash has a repair and several cracks (see picture). The rear seat has a triagle shaped cut and has been glued down. The front seats have some tears are are covered with sheep skins. These seat covers are readily available at a nominal costs. It looks like it had some body work on the passenger side about mid way. this is where it shows several small rust spots that have bubbled the paint. Overall it looks pretty good given it's age.
