1957 OLDS OLDSMOBILE 98 J-2 TIME CAPSULE CREAM-PUFF !! IMPORTANT...THERE ARE OVER 50 DETAILED PICTURES BUT TO SEE THEM ALL YOU MUST PLACE YOUR CURSOR OVER AN IMAGE AND SCROLL ALL THE WAY DOWN (Note: the "Image Album" option may not show all the images available!)...THANKS! In over 35 years of car collecting, this is the most original 1950s car I have seen. Aside from one quality re-spray of the truly beautiful sky-blue color...there is nothing obvious that appears modified or restored in any way! Best of all...this is a VERY highly optioned car with the famed J-2 Rocket V8 with triple-2 barrel carbs, FACTORY AIR (it works!), POWER steering - brakes - windows - seats - antenna, and the fabulous "Wonderbar" power tuning AM radio! Apparently, plastic seat covers were installed when the car was new (or "near new") and the original upholstery is thus remarkably preserved. An affadavit from a recent owner attests to the mileage as original...less than 1200 miles per year have been driven (there are only 62,750 miles logged). Every accessory we tested during the photo-shoot performed flawlessly, and the car drives beautifully. 1957 was certainly one of GM's best years of the 1950s (my father was very proud of his 1957 Buick when I was a kid)...and this fabulous OLDS 98 showcases virtually all of their luxury technology...coupled with unusually high performance for a luxury sedan of the era. It would be impossible to "restore" a car of this complexity for the asking price...and it wouldn't have the value of this highly original OLDS. Here is an opportunity to literally "drive your investment"...it will only go up in value.
