I have a very rare 1983 Nissan Sentra Diesel with a 4 speed manual transmission that delivers kid you not a recent road trip 50.8 mpg at 65 mph. My friend recently gave me the car and i drove it home from Everett Washinton to Tampa Florida. I have decided to recup my expenses and move on with other projects. Body is in good condition paint still shines and presents straight.However there is a small patch of surface corrosion on the drivers side fender and inner door not perforated, just over the paint. Interior looks better then average for its age there is a tear on the rear part of the drivers seat. All guages work fine as does the radio. Winshield has a crack does not affect vision or drivability. its been like that for years. The Engine runs great but ocassionally has a difficult time starting and when warm there is a 15 min wating time for it to start again. It will always start when rolled. It does not leak anything and engnie is as dry as can be. It does burn oil and when driven at high speeds it will use anywhere from 1 to 2 quarts every 1000 miles but you may be able to get away with less depending on how easy you drive it. This car is smooth and very quiet for a diesel unlike many vw diesels i have driven in the past. Has many new parts including motor mounts all oil seals and leaks were addressed by the previous owner.New struts rear brakes wheel bearings cv half shafts and much more. Has New michelin tires and drives down the road smooth and is a solid little car. Amazingly power is a plenty and reaches speed effortlessly. Transmission shifts great and gear oil has been replaced. After a long drive sometimes it will start now if it does not start you need to wait 15 min and it will start right up. Dont know what it can be i have not checked anything may be a fuel filter but im not sure. On my cross country trip it happened 3 times but after a short wait it started.
