Vehicle Detail

1989 Toyota Pickup DLX 4x4 Extra-Cab V6 3.0L Automatic - 1 Owner - Garage Kept Toyota's pickup trucks have a worldwide reputation for quality and toughness. This Sixth Generation Toyota Hi-Lux (1989-1995) is the third world's favorite beast of burden. In remote parts of the world these exceptionally reliable Toyota trucks cross rugged trails overloaded with anything and everything. There probably isn't a vehicle on Earth more abused than the Toyota pickup………….However, this all-terrain machine has never been mistreated. This vehicle is in excellent condition for its age!! I am the original owner of this extremely clean Toyota truck which has been garage kept and well maintained throughout the years. Compared to other 89’ Toyota pickup models, this truck came equipped with highly desired features including four-wheel drive, a 6 cylinder 3.0L engine, an extended cab, and most of all an automatic transmission. Vehicle Information: Miles: 184,XXX Exterior Color: Black Interior Color: Dark Gray (Charcoal) with medium gray interior Vehicle Description: This Toyota Pickup is powered by the infamous 3.0-liter, SOHC, 150-hp V6, 3VZE, fuel injected engine. The transmission is Automatic with overdrive. The truck drives and runs good and the brakes function adequately. The 4 wheel drive functions throughout the entire range of gears. Exterior: The body has no dents. There is a small dent on the bottom drivers side front bumper, on the lower painted portion. Not too noticeable, unless your looking for it. It has the original black paint which is in good condition with a few flaws & small dings. Some of the flaws consist of scratches which have been touched-up. It has a rear sliding window, an upgraded rear Toyota bumper, and aluminum wheels with Bridgestone Dueler A/T 31x10.50 Tires. The tires still have a fair amount of tread left on them (~20-25%). The rear bed has been protected with a bed liner throughout its entire life. It has the classic “TOYOTA” badge on the front grill, rather than the Toyota emblem you see on later model Toyota Tacomas. Interior: The interior is in great shape. This vehicle has never been smoked in. The truck has a 60/40 split bench. Both seats slide back and forward, and there are no rips or tears in the cloth/vinyl upholstery. The A/C blows cold. All windshield wipers, dials, gauges, lights and lamps are functional. The truck has a new Supersonic stereo/CD player with rear Alpine speakers and an Alpine amp. There are two storage boxes in the rear cab, which sit under two flip-up seats, along with two side storage compartments. All 4 seat belts are in good working condition. The carpet is clean with no stains, rips or tears. The two doors and door locks work fine. The two front roll-up windows and two rear pop-open windows work great and there are no cracks, rock chips or leaks on any of the windows or windshield. Most Recent Major Services: New starter @ 167K Major tune-up performed @ 150K New timing belt & water pump @ 145K New radiator @ 141K Tires have been routinely rotated all oil changes done every 3000 to 5000 miles. Major services performed by Toyota or Toyota certified mechanics. Known Issues: 1. Oil Leak (most likely leaking from the valve seal(s)). 2. The linkage on the automatic gear shift is a bit loose, but when gently shifted, it shifts in and out of gear fine. 3. There was a pin-hole on the top of the radiator near the cap. I believe I have fixed it with one of those radiator cement kits. 4. Although there is no brake pad sensor squeaking heard from the front tires yet, based on feel, the Front brake pads may need replacing. 5. I'm not sure if the stereo or amp is draining the battery, so I disconnected the fuse. The stereo system works; just currently disconnected. Might be miswired, or the fact it's been sitting comfortably in my garage for a few months could be why the battery needed a jump charge. To the best of my knowledge, there are no other major mechanical problems. The truck is SOLD AS-IS with no guarantee. Once again, the truck drives and runs good and has been well maintained by 1 California owner throughout the years. It has been garaged kept and is in exceptional condition for its age. If you do a little research, you’ll find that there aren’t that many late 80’s Toyota DLX Pickups this clean out there; especially a V6-4X4 with the Extra Cab, and Automatic transmission. I’ve place a low starting bid. NO RESERVE. Good Luck! Auction Details: Buyer is responsible for pickup or shipping of this vehicle.
