1967 Ford P600 Fire Rescue Van Rare Model in Outstanding Condition ( Great for Mechanic van, electrician, plumber, food service, ice cream truck etc.) ***Please make your Best Offer... ALL offers will be considered*** Up for sale is this very sought after and rare 1967 Ford P600 rescue fire truck/ van. This van belonged to a small rural fire station and was stored indoors it’s whole life. The van has only 12,900 miles on it, and is in absolutely fantastic condition. There is no rust on this van, as would be expected from a pampered and indoor stored vehicle such as this was. The rural fire station firemen who cared for this van obviously did so with great care and diligence. This van would be great for Mechanic van, electrician, plumber, food service, ice cream truck, etc. The van holds tons of tools in the interior storage compartments, as can be seen in the photos, so it would be a very useful and unique van for the mobile mechanic or other tradesman. This van originally came from the Ford factory with a 6 cylinder engine mated to a 4 speed manual transmission. It has now been updated with a modern Ford 302 V-8 engine mated to a Borg Warner World Class T-5 five (5) speed manual transmission. This conversion was done professionally, and both the transmission and engine perform and function flawlessly. The rear brakes on this van have just been completely replaced ( a very large and expensive job due to the dual rear wheel set up). Replaced in this brake job were the following: 1. Rear Wheel Cylinders ( 2 on each side of axle, 4 total)2. Brake Shoes3. Star wheel adjusters4. Spring and hardware kit5. Rear wheel axle grease seals6. Rear axle bearings7.Rear steel brake lines The front brakes have not been replaced yet, but function perfectly... however we have ALL of the parts necessary to replace the entire front brakes as well. These parts are INCLUDED with the purchase of the vehicle. The front brake parts included with the van are as follows ( All NAPA brand parts): 1. Front brake shoes2. Front brake wheel cylinders3. Front brake hardware and spring kit4.Star wheel adjusters The cost of these parts was well over $300 from NAPA. All you have to do is install them when you decide to do so. Interior: The van was custom outfitted from the factory with multiple storage cabinets inside the van, as can been seen in the photos. They would make great storage areas for a mobile mechanic, etc. These storage cabinets are very heavy duty in construction, and can take alot of abuse. They don’t make them like that anymore! Engine: The engine is a Ford 302 V-8 with Holley 4 barrel carburetor, rare vintage Edelbrock aluminum F-4Bintake manifold, and Edelbrock Elite air cleaner. Engine runs beautifully and needs nothing except gas! Transmission: Borg Warner World Class T-5 five speed . Functions flawlessly as well. Shifts smooth and easy. Undercarriage: The frame, differential, and leaf springs were just coated with 2 coats of Eastwood's “Heavy Duty Anti-rust” wax coating to dress up the underside of the vehicle. It looks like black rubberized coating, but is actually a far superior wax coating that preserves metal indefinitely. This coating protects the metal from moisture and salt, should the new owner drive it in such conditions (but please DON’’T drive in those conditions if you can help it... this is a beautifully preserved vehicle..... please keep it that way!) Tires : All 6 tires on the van are near new, with only a few dozen miles on them. These are very costly tires to replace, so this is a real plus for the new owner. The tires on this van cost $3000 alone! Also, all the lug nut protectors were just replaced with brand new stainless units.... and look really nice on this van. Paint: Paint is a 2 stage basecoat/ clearcoat PPG catalized paint. The van was painted just a few years ago, and is in excellent condition, as can be seen in the photographs. Battery and cables: Has a brand new 998 cranking amp battery, with brand new 2 gauge battery cables. This set up cranks the engine to life in a real hurry... starts like a new vehicle. Pedal pads: Brand new vintage rubber pedal pads for the clutch and brake pedal were also just installed, as can be seen in the photos. Really nice touch to top off this vehicle. Ford Factory Service Manuals : Van comes with nice set of vintage 1967 Ford service manuals, AND the same set of factory service manuals on CD!! These manuals are invaluable for working on a vintage van such as this. 4 sets of original Ford ignition keys: Van comes with 4 vintage Ford keys for ignition, ( only 3 shown in photos... but comes with 4). No excuses to lose your keys again! The van runs and drives like a modern vehicle, and is probably one of the best examples of it’s kind in existence today. Vans of this age and condition simply don’t exist after 43 years of use. This van saw very little use, and was stored it’s whole life, which why it is so unique and pristine. We have included quite a few photos of the van inside and out... but have many more to show you if you would like. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you need to see areas of the van that are not shown here. Please ask any and all questions about the van prior to bidding on it.. and we will answer your questions promptly. ***Please make your Best Offer... ALL offers will be considered***
