The 1957 Oldsmobile was sold new in New Orleans where it was kept in a Carriage Garage in the French Quarter and was seldom driven until it was forgotten about until 1983. In 1983 the Oldsmobile was spotted by a neighbor's son who had to have the Oldsmobile, he made a deal to purchase the beautiful Dusty Rose Oldsmobile. The new owner immediately bought 4 new wide white wall tires and gave her a oil change, new battery, new brakes and fresh gas and drove off to Clinton Maryland for new employment. The second owner bought a new home in Clinton, Maryland with a garage and he decided he would have the Oldsmobile repainted Candy Apple Red which just about depleted his savings, then he decided to change the interior color to match the exterior. Then the Oldsmobile sat in his garage for many years until about 10 years ago he was told to update the valve guide seals for unleaded gas. Then the Oldsmobile sat in the garage for a few more years. The second owner had only one complaint, he never had enough time to enjoy the Oldsmobile. Since I acquired the Oldsmobile the windshield has been replaced, purchased new door and trunk seals, had the clock rebuilt, replaced 2 rear brake cylinders, new battery, detailed the engine, rebuilt the harmonic balancer. I have inspected the frame, floor and trunk floor and there is no rust. The body also has no rust. The stainless is in excellent condition,. The 371 Cubic inch 4 barrel V8 runs like new. The automatic transmission shifts smoothly. It is equipped with power steering, power brakes, power windows, power seat, nice original black padded dash, am radio, I have 2 radios which neither is installed at the moment. it has a spare tire and all jack components.
