Welcome to my auction. We have here 1979 Volkswagen Super Beetle Convertible Karman Edition lifelong California Car . It is a factory River Blue Metallic paint and has been restored using the correct VW paint. Many will tell you it's been restored by some big name restoration company and yes that might be true 10 years ago and some will tell you they have gone through the car , that does not mean they open one door up and crawled though the other side and they said they went though it. Where I am going with this is this car has been a frame on restoration from top to bottom ,windows removed and car stripped and then minor body work , block sanding ,wet sanding ,priming ,painting inside and out which does mean under the hood , over the shock towers and in the engine lid.As well as the convertible top was primed and painted . All of the suspension parts , cv joints and short shafts and swing arms , transmission mounts,steering box and tie rod shafts as well as drums were removed ,cleaned ,prepped ,primed and painted.The beetle was restored back east and there is over $2,000 in just transport fee's to have it sent out and back . The motor is 1600 CC that was completely rebuilt from the crankshaft up and not just cheap pistons were used. These are the forged Mahle pistons and rings and not cheap Chinese garbage .There is also new lifters ,valves,push rods ,push rod tubes ,all seals and gaskets and refurbished distrubutor. All the fuel injection was tore apart cleaned ,restored and reinstalled or new used when needed. New fuel injectors and remanufactured air flow meter ,new cold start valve ,computer box relay switch and all fuel injection connectors,spark plug,points,and of course new oil.The transmission was also rebuilt from the core up and the case restored. New clutch,pressure plate and throw out barring . This power train is top notch and as good as any fuel injection beetle in the country.See pictures for tear down of motor and reinstall and video of the car running and driving. The interior is done very respectfully and high quality cloth material . There is new door panels ,new floor mats ,new headliner,padding and convertible top . It also comes with a good boot and a front bra . All of the outer chrome is in good condition but we did reuse the originals where we could . If the car needs anything or could use anything, it would be a rear bumper which I may replace by end of auction anyway's. All windows are good and rolls up and down as they should and the chrome is in good to excellent condition which is almost impossible to find good chrome around the windows with no pitting and also check pictures windows all line up perfectly and all glass is in good condition. The dash has one small crack over by the speedometer not very noticeable and back of front drivers seat on the very back has minor snag (see pic) . Ok I think we have described the car very fairly and there should not be any surprises do not want to put a price tag on the car and let you the bidders tell me what it is worth. Now with that said when the auction closes and the deal is done the winning bidder owns the car and there is no regrets or complaints by either party on a No Reserve item. You may come view the car in person prior to the end of auction or winning the bid or send an independent inspector prior to the end of auction. Although our account is new I have had a business partner in the past and we have always been up front and honest. I will always bend over backwards but due to his high fee's we have made it a family business and decided to keep all monies in the family which allows us to offer this car with NO RESERVE as we are trying to build a good track record with ebay and build trust with buyers and that is why we will be offering on the next couple cars an option to pay 100% by paypal so it is covered fully but the buyer will be responsible for all paypal fee's . If the car sells for lets say something crazy $30,000.00 I expect $30,000.00 and not minus paypal fee's .The clear title will be sent once all monies have been received . This car was restored in Iowa and is a lifelong California car but when we purchased it , it was not running and because of this did not meet smog .I have paid all California DMV back fee's dating back to 1989 and it is all up to date and a clear California title will be sent within 10 days of auctions end . I have all registration and proof from the California DMV that all fee's are paid and title has been issued. Since then all the fuel injection and motor has been rebuilt and runs as it should but if this car stays in California all California buyers will need to smog this car and I do not see any reason why it won't pass smog but I won't be held liable and all costs will be at buyers expense. Please keep that in mind when bidding as I believe they get 2% to collect monies. Of course you can always pay cash in person and we encourage bank wire transfer as it is the fastest and gets the show moving instead of waiting for paypal to clear or bank certified cashier's check to clear although you may have plenty of money my bank doesn't know that and will hold all funds up to 7 days . I do have references that I have sold beetles to and I have done work for after the sale, as well as a reputable Volkswagen business in Fresno that has been in business since 1947 . Terms: Deposit of $500 by paypal immediately after auctions end and full payment in 5 days of auctions end unless agreed to in advance before auctions end. The car has been restored but is still 30 plus years old and is being sold as is and all sales are final. I have described the car to the best of my ability you and I may or may not agree please ask for pictures or video if uncertain about anything or please simply do not bid. I would rather lose a sale then have an unhappy customer. I wanted to make a note that I just seen a River Blue Metallic 79 that wasn't as nice as this one , that was cobbled up with the fuel injection removed that was online for $13,900 . I wouldn't of parked this one next to that one . Now I am not saying any value . I am just saying compared to others that were asking much much more . This one looks as good, if not better and the engine diffently looks better then any I have seen on ebay.I have also sold 2 other River Blue Metallic's that needed paint for $6,000 a piece and had happy customers and one last thing I was looking at the ad and the mileage is unknown and the odometer is showing 88353 but was replaced and the original did show 38469 but this is being sold as unknown mileage, it is all redone anyways and only test miles on the whole power train.Also you can reach at 805-423-4559 if you want to come view the car in person prior to the end of auction or want additional pictures (serious buyers only please) .
