Vehicle Detail

This is a 1986 G20 van that has been transformed into an amazingly nice A-Team van replica. I actually had this built in recent years and before knowledge of the current movie. It is built to replicate the television show and not the current version seen in the film (which sports black wheels). It is extremely drivable and usable, even on a daily basis if you wished. Everything has been rebuilt or replaced on this van. The odometer shows 90200 - but everything on the van has less than a 1000 miles. It truly needs nothing and is completely turn-key. It is extremely nice and much care and time was taken to build the van right. It gets an incredible amount of attention. I am only selling it because I have an interest in another project. This van has won trophies at every show it has been too. This van was used as a school repair van for many years in Oklahoma. Scotlea Idol Rods (www.scotlea.com) bought it and cosmetically transformed it into a replica A-Team van as seen in the 1980's television series. The interior of the van was built to be more functional than the show, and includes considerable upgrades. I wanted it built for car shows and be drivable and fun for my kids. You literally get attention in this van on the way to the car show, during the car show and on the way home. It is one of the few movie car replicas that you can literally drive comfortably anywhere you would like. Not only do you not have to trailer it to shows - but it has enough power to trailer another car to the show if need be. The van was completely stripped down and sanded and then had a solid sliding door installed with the difficult-to-find hinge that clears the body molding. After initial bodywork, the custom ground effects were installed and all the lights are completely functional and operated by a custom overhead console with a mounted CB. The correct wheels were used and can be hard to find. The van wears 15x7 fronts and 15x8.5 on the rear. Windows are all tinted 15% and the front windshield tinted 35%. You really cannot see inside the van - please check your local laws regarding this feature. The interior of the van was gutted and the best sound deadening material available was installed all through-out the van. It has a CB and also a police scanner and both are a lot of fun. It also has two twelve inch flat-screen televisions with DVD players and video games built in. They can also can have Playstations or X-boxes hooked in to them if you wish. Three of the bucket seats swivel just like the show and everyone can face each other going down the road - well except for the driver, that might be a bad idea. LOL! I pity the fool that tries that. The rear seat was custom built at my request for this van. It is a comfortable rear bench seat and has the ability to fold down to a bed for long trips. The white face gauges all work but the speedometer needs to be adjusted. It does have tilt steering with a custom steering wheel. It does not have cruise control. The van comes with a custom PA system that plays songs - including the entire theme song from the A-TEAM! And it is LOUD with it's grill mounted speaker. This was an expensive gadget for the van and is really a lot of fun. The interior was treated to numerous upgrades. Four captains chairs (3 of them swivel), a full rear couch that folds down into a bed, custom carpet, carpeted walls, and custom door panels and headliner were all added. An overhead console in the front area houses 4 rocker switches, CB, and police scanner. A full-on surround sound system with 6 speakers, AMP, and CD player were installed for cruising with tunes. Additionally, a Horntones system was wired in, which plays MP3 files through a speaker under the hood - right now the A-Team theme song is programmed so everyone knows to get out of the way. The dash was upgraded with white faced gauges, a tilt steering column with a Grant GT wheel, and controls for the rear air shocks. In the back, a custom-built AMMO box covers the spare tire, jack and toolbox. The motor is a 385 stroker motor gm performance custom ordered with a special cam. This motor produces over 400 rwhp and over 400 lbs of trq. It has a 750 holly carberator on it and is tuned perfect. The van will absolutely roast the tires. The transmission is an all rebuilt 700R4 with over drive and the rearend is a 373 all new and runs great around town and on the freeway. I have about $8000 in the motor alone. The van also has electric cut outs. This means at the touch of a button you go to straight headers and its very loud but sounds AMAZING!!! This van actually has its own website at www.myateamvan.com . Sorry No Trades.
