Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is a 1979 10th Anniversary Trans Am. If you don’t know the history of this rare trans am then please look it up on your own. There is a ton of information on these rare birds. This one is the 403 olds automatic. A little over 5000 were made. I got married last summer and now the car is impractical for my family to ride around in it. I will miss it very much. It has all the bells and whistles of the other 10th Anniversary Trans Ams. Some things to know: Runs fine and has lots of kick and power Be prepared to be stared at and lots of conversations Mostly Original from what I can tell Clock still works Still has the original spare and T top covers Has a le bra in front and louvers in back. The person I bought it from had it in car shows. I believe he had some more flake added to the paint. It looks a little shiner than 2 other 10th anniversary owners I met. Some rust - it has always been garage kept up here in Mn. I believe it has the common bubbling around bottom of door skins to indicate slight rust. Paint flaking here and there. The rear bumper paint on the drivers side is coming off. Various chips and oxidation on the paint here and there There was paint flaking on the hood scoop so i put a Capable of evading high speed pursuit sticker on it. guess at the time i liked that and along with the area 51 top secret research project on the back bumper and fan shroud. most questions about the car come along with the bumper sticker.. sad. like.. what kinda car is that? really?? or what liter is it.. wow. etc. The air conditioner has ran out. No more cold. The hood latch cable is missing from the inside. Hood still opens and closes fine. the electric door locks are geting weak. sometimes they both work. or just one will open or close. usually no problem unlocking. the solonoid is probably going or else maybe some wd40 may work. Had a crease from a motorbike falling on it in the rear quarter panel I had fixed and painted like 20 years ago The electric antenna had some paint bubbling around it. Replaced the worn out electric antenna with a new one and had the rust fixed and repainted that spot. I think there is some slight bubbling there again. The spedometer accuracy started going about 2 years ago. Its like 8 miles under now. It probably needs a new cable. It usually stops at around 20 or 30 mph when I go faster. I have had this car for a long time and it has always fired up, no problems. No major work done to it. It has leaks here and there. Its probably normal for a 30 year old car of this type. My loss, your gain. Always a head turner and tons of fun to drive up the north shore with the t tops off in the summer. Please ask any questions you may have before you bid. Car is sold as is.
