Up for sale is my 1978 Chevrolet C-10 Stepside pickup truck. I purchased this truck from my friend who was the 2nd owner. He originally purchased it in 1994 in "restored" condition. Unfortunately he went through a divorce sometime in the late 90's and the truck lost its inside parking and was parked outside for some time. When I got it the paint on the hood, roof and the tops of the rear fenders was in bad condition. I just spent $2700 to have the truck repainted and it looks great! I would rate the paint job a 9 out of 10. It is not a "show" quality paint job but it is extremely nice in fact I get compliments on the paint where ever I go. The truck is in excellent mechanical condition. I took it in and had it inspected by a shop and per their evaluation I had them replace; Both rear wheel cyl for the rear brakes, re-surface the rear drums, replace one axle seal, replace the brake shoes, turn the front rotors, install new front brake pads, replace both front calipers and install 1 new muffler. The truck drives incredible now. I also had a new windshield and windshield seal installed last week as well. The truck has absolutely no body rust at all. The motor in the truck is a stock 350 with a polished edelbrock intake manifold and a edelbrock carb. No other "performace" related work has been done to the motor. It is all stock. It runs perfect, it does not smoke on start up, smoke on excel, miss or hesitate in any way. It also has some "dress up" type items on it including a chrome air cleaner, chrome valve covers, chrome alternator and some other chrome parts. The interior of the truck is in over all good condition. The seat is perfect, the carpets are perfect. The painted part of the dash is near perfect. The top of the dash has one small 1" crack in it. The door panels should be replaced. They are not in the best of condition. The tires litterly have less then 500 miles on them. They are "like" new. The wheels are true spoke chrome wheels and have some rust on the chrome in some areas. The truck has a hidden receiver hitch for towing behind the licence plate. It also has air shocks on the rear to help with any heavy load or raise the rear end up if needed. I have not ever tested the air shocks out though so I do not know if they still work. Things that need to still be done. The front grill should come out and the center be repainted black again. Both the left and right door glass seals should be replaced and the metal window frames in the door should be repainted black again. Most of the chrome has small amounts of rust. Both interior Left and Right door panels should be replaced. Or just buy it and drive it! This is a extremely well taken care of 1978 Chevrolet Short Box Stepside P/U with 58k actual miles!
