1988 Suzuki RM

1988 Suzuki RM125 -- currently not running. Guy I bought it from said it was "getting hard to start b/c compression was getting low" so he pulled the cylinder and never fitted a new piston. I had the cylinder measured by Mt. Holly Kawasaki-Suzuki and they said it is at max bore so it will need a sleeve or nikasil coating and a new piston and rings fitted. Bottom end appears to be in fine shape as the crank has no play to it. I took this bike in on a trade and don't have time to work on it, as I have about 5 projects going in my shop right now. It has a Hot Rods crank in nice shape, no play top to bottom. Plastics have a crappy paint job but overall its a pretty solid bike. Has a DG pipe and silencer in nice shape. Cylinder is off the bike (sitting on it loosely) -- stored inside my storage unit so not exposed to the weather. Tires are in decent shape, carb and chain are dirty but included as is the throttle tube. For a couple hours of your time and a few hundred dollars you can have a cheap, classic motocross bike to ride all summer long.
