Vehicle Detail

*16,285 original miles* ONE OWNER SINCE NEW This is an outstanding, nearly new condition, museum-quality 1986 Ford Mustang GT with a Kenny Brown Performance package and 16,285 original miles. This Mustang is absolutely PRISTINE and beautiful in every single way. This is a one-owner vehicle since new- it was purchased new in 1986 by A. Schneider and he sent it to Kenny Brown in 1992 for their "300MX Conversion". The 300MX Conversion by Kenny Brown includes 275HP engine upgrade (GT40 heads, intake manifold, roller rockers, big tube headers), suspension modifications (adjustable shocks, brake bias control, sub-frame connectors, shock tower brace, differential pan-hard bar), Schroth Harnessbelts, 3:55 gear upgrade, 160mpg speedometer, 12" front brake upgrade, engine oil cooler, 92 fender moldings, Recaro seats in original Mustang fabric, interior roll bar and 16" American Racing wheels with nearly new tires. The cost of this work by Kenny Brown was over $14,000 in 1992! We have a huge folder of receipts, documents and paperwork to show exactly what was done by Kenny Brown, plus the original owners manuals, sales paperwork, original title and mileage affidavit. This Mustang came factory-equipped with the 5.0 V8, 5-speed manual transmission, T-tops, Ford premium audio, A/C and power windows and locks. I cannot imagine that a cleaner, nicer or better-kept 1986 Mustang is for sale anywhere in the country- this car is outstanding. This is truly a museum/collector-quality vehicle. This car runs and drives exactly like a new car. This car was designed to be a street car with the capability to run on the track, though it has NEVER been raced or used on the track. We purchased this car from the original owner, a retired gentleman in his mid-70's who bought the car new and has babied it ever since. This car has never been raced, abused or driven hard- EVER. This car shows NO WEAR, and has NO RUST, no damage and no notable fault or flaws. The paint and body are excellent- the paint is all-original and shows no oxidation, sun damage, wear or any issues at all. The interior is pristinely clean and perfect, and everything works exactly as it should. Even the underside of this car looks perfectly clean and new- please see the photos- you could eat off the underside of this car... Even the T-top seals are perfect- they aren't cracked or dry-rotted at all. There are 3 scratches on the hood, which have been brush-touched. I cannot find a single other fault or issue of any sort. This car has no mechanical issues of any kind, and it drives like a new vehicle. This is as close to a brand new 24-year old car as you'll ever find. The Kenny Brown Performance package has turned a good car into a great one- this car sounds just right, it is tight, solid and handles like you wouldn't believe. The acceleration is extremely strong and the brakes are ultra-powerful. This is an EXTREMELY capable, very special car that is perfectly civil to drive, yet will shock you with its performance. If you want a true classic piece of American history that will only continue to APPRECIATE in value, don't miss out on the opportunity to purchase this car. For questions about this car, or to schedule a time to see it before bidding, please call/text John at 440 339 4341. The mileage on the new speedometer is 4285, making the total mileage on the car 16,285. On Jun-26-10 at 14:52:03 PDT, seller added the following information:The Schroth Harnessbelts that were mentioned in the Kenny Brown upgrades are not with the car. The car has regular seatbelts. Also, you can see this in the photos I wanted to mention a small nick in the paint on the passenger side fender, presumably where the 5.0 emblem was removed. On Jun-27-10 at 07:54:00 PDT, seller added the following information:A word about the A/C- it had been blowing perfectly cold last summer, but over the winter it lost some of the charge. We have put a gauge on it and the pressure is slightly too low to cycle the compressor. The system is still R12, so it either needs a charge of R12 or it needs to be converted over to R134a. We are going to leave this up to the new owner. Not a big deal at all either way, but it depends on how original you want to keep the car.
