*****PLEASE NOTE: WHOEVER MAKES AN OFFER MUST LEAVE A PHONE NUMBER SO I CAN CALL YOU TO MAKE SURE YOU'RE REAL AND YOUR OFFER IS LEGIT ***** UP FOR AUCTION IS A GREAT LOOKING RALLY RED 1969 CHEVELLE SS 396 (REAL DEAL) WITH 84K MILES ON THE ODOMETER THAT RUNS/DRIVES VERY STRONG WITH THIS GREAT SOUNDING V8 AND AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. LOTS OF RECENT WORK DONE TO THIS CAR. VERY SHARP CRUISER THAT WILL BE A LOT OF FUN FOR COLLECTOR OR ENTHUSIAST. FACTORY OPTIONS: Power steering Power DISC front brakes Dual exhaust 12 bolt Posi rear end (3.73 gears) Stock 396ci motor Stock TH-400 Automatic transmission Standard black bench seat interior 15x8" Rally wheels w/white letter radials Front and rear sway bars Body side stripe Vehicle comes from North Carolina, and has been in NY for the last couple of years. This is a REAL SS 396 Chevelle. The owner did minor tlc to it and basically parked the car in his garage, using it maybe once every couple of weeks just to exercise it. Body had an older aesthetic repaint sometime in the early 90s and has held up fairly well. Interior has just had a new headliner professionally installed, and the front seats have just been recovered. Mechanically, the motor was rebuilt a few years ago and a rather large lumpy cam was installed. Many suspension parts have been replaced/upgraded (shocks, rear sway bar, torsion bars, etc.). Overall the car is a nice and presentable driver. Interior is in FAIR/GOOD condition with only minor general wear here and there. Front seat has been reupholstered and looks new, while rear seat has minor wear. Door panels have metal lower sections installed and should be replaced. Dash pad has one crack down the middle. Carpet is older but still halfway presentable. Headliner like new. Overall a presentable driver quality interior! Under the hood lies a slightly worked 396ci motor producing about 375hp with the aid of a lumpy performance camshaft, Holley carburetor, headers into dual glass-pack mufflers and some minor internal modifications. Starts at the turn of the key and runs very strong. Good stock power overall and brakes stop VERY WELL. Nice and solid throughout. Very fun to drive and you can hop in and drive it right now with minor tlc. I've driven it mostly around town here and there, never on any long trips, so before you take the car out for a long drive I would recommend having it gone through to be safe and work out all the little bugs. UNDERSIDE HAS VERY SOLID FRAME AND FLOORS. TRUNK IS ALSO NICE AND SOLID OVERALL. Being an old car, it is NOT perfect by any means. Paint shines up FAIRLY with decent luster for a halfway presentable driver (has it's share of small chips/touch-ups/small dings and general paint checking with minor fading here and there). Some bubble clusters at lower corners of rear glass, a few bubbles by rear wheel wells, lower corners of trunk lid and a handful by lower door corners. Not working: heater (bypassed), carburetor could use rebuild/replacement with newer one, perhaps a couple of bulbs could use replacing, radio. Missing: door weatherstripping, exhaust (from glass-pack mufflers back). Passenger side radiator support has a few tiny pinholes. Windshield has a pellet crack about 2". Trunk has small hole near passenger taillight. That's about all I was able to notice. It may need a few other tiny things as any other used car, so please keep that in mind. OVERALL IT'S A COOL LOOKING CRUISER THAT YOU CAN EASILY DRIVE AS IS THIS IS A SHARP LOOKING 1969 CHEVELLE SS 396 (REAL DEAL) WITH 84K MILES ON THE ODOMETER IN RALLY RED WHITE, SO YOU CAN'T MISS IT ANYWHERE YOU TAKE IT. RUNS/DRIVES VERY STRONG AND IT WOULD TAKE VERY LITTLE TLC TO BECOME AN EVERYDAY CRUISER. GREAT CAR FOR COLLECTOR OR ENTHUSIAST TO PLAY AROUND WITH AND MAKE IT THEIR OWN!.
