Vehicle Detail
Offered is a 1963 Dodge Dart 270. Due to a fraudulent "Buy It Now" purchase, I'm listing it for a second time. It is a solid car that starts right up, runs well, and drives well. Cosmetically, it is attractive and never fails to get its share of compliments and thumbs up. It is equipped with a 225 slant six engine that runs strong. The transmission is a three speed manual on the column that works properly. It has manual steering that is tight and true and tracks down the road well. The brakes are manual and work as they should. The original under the dash air conditioner still blows cold, though does require a couple of cans of refrigerant be added over the course of the summer. It has a Pioneer CD player and speakers that sound very good. The interior is in very good condition and looks sharp, particularly the dash. The carpet is relatively new and everything else appears to be original as far as I can tell. The original, factory tinted glass is in good condition. The body is straight with no rust evident. The exterior trim is all present and in good condition. The car was repainted at some point close to the factory color, though not a perfect match. The paint job looks good a few feet away, but up close the mediocre quality, blemishes, and touch ups are apparent. It is a classic "20 footer". Note...a paint scrape to the bare metal is noted just in front of the Dodge logo on the hood that has not been touched up. If you look closely at the straight on, front end photo you can see it. I installed a newly re-chromed bumper on the rear and have another re-chromed bumper for the front (though not installed) which will be included. The old rear bumper will be included as well. In the last four years I've had a new steering gear box installed, a new starter, a new idler arm, and new upper control arms. I still have the original gear box and starter in case someone wants to rebuild them. I have accumulated several other things I will include with the car, such as the above mentioned re-chromed front bumper, a set of 1963 Dart GT hubcaps, an original shop repair manual, new pedal rubber, a red brake light lens, an original Dart radio, a box of refrigerant, etc... This is a good looking, nice running and handling car that is fun to take out for weekend drives or could be used as a daily driver. However, it is approaching fifty years of age and is a used, not restored car with some issues and work that would need to be done to have a "show" quality car. It is sold as is with no warranties. Please feel free to ask questions. If you don't ask I can't answer them. I'll be glad to answer any to the best of my ability. Due to the "Buy It Now" fraud which ended my first listing, the bids of international bidders or bidders with less than 10 feedback will be canceled unless you email me first and get approval. A $500.00 deposit into my PayPal account is required within 48 hours of the auction close. The balance is due within 7 days. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. The car needs to be picked up within 2 weeks of the auction close. Thank you and happy bidding!
