This matching number car ran good and looked good when I got it. I wanted this to be the best C-3 in this area, which led to months of work and untold hours. The following is what I did to this Vette. 1. New interior including carpet, brake console, shifter plate and console. New seat covers, rear quarter panel moldings, rear compartment lids, and frame. new door panels. I did not replace dash pad or upper dash as I felt they were good. 2. $7,000 correct paint job. The car was taken apart and painted. 3. All new emblems,and mouldings 4. New suspension, front springs, rear springs, all new bushings and other suspension parts. There were a couple of items that I did recondition. 5. Every bolt and nut was replaced or reconditioned. If there are any that I did not replace they were good. 6. All fuel lines and brake lines were replaced as well as most all hardware. 7. All new brake system, including master cylinder, park brake, shoes, pads, calipers and rotors were replaced, plus 1 hub on the rear. 8. All wheel bearings are new. 9. New U-joints on the half shafts, inside and out. 10. All vaccuum lines from the firewall to the headlights, that includes all engine vaccuum lines. 11. Rebuilt the original carburetor. 12. Reconditioned transmission pan. 13. Replaced oil pan. 14. Replaced fuel pump. 15. Replaced power steering parts all but the pump, which was fine. 16. Replace alternator with chrome one. 17. New AC switches. 18. Replaced the luggage rack. 19. New radio antenna and cable. 20. New convertible top, including all hardware. Except front latchs. 21. Complete new exhaust system from exhaust manifold to exhaust tip. There were other things replaced or reconditioned, but I think you get the picture. Everything I replaced was working fine; most of this was strictly cosmetic. The car is equipped with AC, AM/FM radio, power windows, rear defroster, map light, auto transmission, L-48 350 engine. Tilt & Telesopic steering wheel. Clock. Everything works as it should. I am ready to move on to something else. My loss is your gain, and it will be hard to find one nicer.
