Illness forces sale, this car is a show quality, numbers matching 1968 Ford Mustang Shelby Cobra GT350R Tribute Car. This Mustang is a factory California “J” code car. This car has less than 500 miles since it’s restore in winter of 2009. Car was gone completely over in the last week, with new wheel bearings, new brakes, and new bushings to insure the car is totally ready for its next owner to enjoy. Car tracks absolutely arrow straight in spite of its wheel upgrade, and handles like its on rails. Also performed was a carb tune, fresh oil change, and fresh chassis lube. Absolutely purrs like a kitten, the motor was rebuilt RIGHT. Starts on the first hit every time, youd swear it was fuel injected! All you need to do is get in, drive, and answer a million questions while youre getting gas HAHA. This Mustang offers the following: Power Train: The Engine, Trans, and Rear-end all have been rebuilt less than 500 miles ago. Engine is a matching # 302ci and New Weiand Aluminum Intake, new Holley Double Pumper, new Plugs and newTaylor Wires, new Distributor and new Coil. Car has polished billet pulleys, long tube headers, new 2 ½ dual exhaust, new battery, new master cylinder, new brakes and new brake lines. New fuel pump, new fuel lines, new gas tank. Trans is rebuilt stock automatic, rear-end is rebuilt with stock gears. Exterior: This Mustang has a very straight, rust free body. The undercarriage is just as nice. All floors, trunk pans, and frame are very solid. Car was painted with PPG base coat/clear coat winter of 2008 with 09 Ford dark grey metallic and black stripes. The car has new full quarters, fenders, hood, and trunk. It has new Shelby: hood, trunk, taillights, gas cap, sill plates, rear brake duct vents. It also has new GT: fog lights, steering wheel, mirrors, and halogen conversion headlights. Both front and rear bumpers are new along with door handles and front and rear window trim. Door window trim is original and has some minor pitting. Door weatherstrip is in great condition. Both doors open and close easily. Truck is very solid and is painted under mat to match body of car. This mustang is sitting on 17” Coy Eleanor style wheels; black with polished lip (fronts are 7's, rears are 8's). Tires are Z rated 225 45 17 and 255 40 17. Interior: Most of the interior is new as well. It has new front and rear seats, new carpet, new Ford floor mats, new headliner, and new door panels. It also has a new GT steering wheel, new tach, and new shifter. Speedo has a fresh rebuild with new gears and cable, and all other gauges, lights, and electronics work fine. I will be happy to arrange shipping anywhere. This car is absolutely beautiful, and it kills me to have to sell it. When you see the paint quality, and the beauty of overall essence of this Mustang, I think you'll agree its one of the most stunning examples in existence. I have some reciepts for the cars build that will be included (estimated 65-70000 dollar build). Body panel fit is very good, but as with all 'Stangs of this era, its impossible to get them to todays cars standards. Nothing will matter when you grip the wooden steering wheel for the first time, dig a little deep into the throttle, and let your cares and worry behind to mingle in the throaty rumble.
