Vehicle Detail
1966 TRIUMPH TR4. RUNS GREAT. NEW HEAD GASKET & MACHINED HEAD LESS THAN 100 MILES AGO. NEW INTERIOR AND DASH. PAINT HAS NICE PATINA BUT IS NOT PERFECT. IT MAY BE THE ORIGINAL PAINT, I'M NOT SURE. NICE WIRE WHEELS WITH VINTAGE MICHELIN RED LINE TIRES. TOP IS IN PERFECT CONDITION. EVERYTHING WORKS EXCEPT THE SPEEDOMETER/ ODOMETER. IT JUST NEEDS THE CABLE REPLACED. THE ODOMETER READS 79,000 BUT ACTUAL MILES ON THE CAR IS UNKNOWN. I ALSO HAVE THE ORIGINAL OWNER'S MANUAL FOR THE CAR. ANOTHER 1966 TR4 ALSO, JUST SOLD A FEW WEEKS AGO ON EBAY FOR $25K. I'M SURE IT WAS A LITTLE NICER THAN MINE BUT, NOT $10K NICER! JUST MY OPINION OF COURSE. HERE IS A LINK TO THAT 1966 T4 THAT SOLD FOR $25K NOT LONG AGO. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150432184744&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT PLEASE MESSAGE ME THROUGH EBAY WITH ANY QUESTIONS. I WORK ODD HOURS SO IT MAY TAKE ME A DAY OR SO TO GET BACK WITH YOU. I REALLY DON'T HAVE TIME FOR PHONE CALLS UNLESS YOU WANT TO TALK AT 1am. ALSO SELLING MY 69 MINI COOPER (SEE LAST PIC). MESSAGE ME IF INTERESTED. IT IS A VERY FAST MINI, LEFT HAND DRIVE WITH ROLL BAR AND 1380CC MOTOR. THE PRICE OF THE MINI IS $7,500. Here is some more info on the TR4's. While the Triumph TR4A was technically little more than an upgraded TR3, in so many ways it became much more. The Michelotti styled bodywork added an Italian flair to the utilitarian little Triumph. The inset headlights, crisp fender lines and uncluttered, slab-sided bodywork combined to create a thoroughly modern and stylish sports car that was leaps and bounds ahead of the simplistic TR3. Fine lines aside, the TR4 featured Triumph..s robust 2 liter 4-cylinder engine mated to a 4 speed gearbox. Being a TR4A, independent rear suspension is fitted, a first for Triumph. The driving experience is pure British sports car. The rorty little engine has abundant torque, the ride is firm but well controlled and the handling is light and enjoyable. Disc brakes in front and drums in the rear haul the car to a stop with confidence.
