1950 Willys Jeepster with the 4-134F engine. This was my grandfathers car which sat in garages in North Carolina for years and years. It was passed to my mother and now she would like me to sell it for her. She has clear title. CONDITION: Last year we replaced the ignition, fuel tank, battery, hubs, fuel pump, water pump, thermostat, did some brake work, and had the carb rebuilt. It also had very good tires. I believe the engine was rebuilt at some point in the 70s but I certainly can't confirm that. The seats and top are in very good condition. They must have been re-covered at some point because they are in great shape. The top goes up and down without a problem. It starts and drives. The engine runs great,and pulls like is should. It idles slightly too low, I'm sure it's a simple carb adjustment, but I didn't want to mess with the rebuilt carb. I've driven it a maybe 20 miles total since all the work. It feels sloppy, I have a feeling it may need some suspension work to make it safe, then again I don't drive many cars that are 60 years old! It also needs an e-brake cable. This is very close to a great weekend driver for parades or shows. I'd be happy to answer any and all questions that I can. You are also welcome to come check it out in person, and we can run it up and down the street if needed. No delivery available and the car will certainly need to be trailered to its new home.
