The exterior looks amazing still wearing it’s original Pastel White paint, with some INCREDIBLE PATINA. The interior is amazingly clean and original. The bus is really solid throughout. Good news is it’s all original and untouched. The bus runs and drives good. It drives, stops, and shifts great. This is a rare opportunity to own a 1970 Volkswagen Westfalia Bus in its original condition. Keep in mind is NOT a restored bus. This is an absolute time capsule which you rarely see offered for sale. An early Bay Window Westfalia wearing it’s original Pastel White paint with the amazing patina it sports today is simply priceless. This is the bus no money could create. It is only original once. A restored one is great if you can get the right individuals to properly restore it. The cost to restore a bus properly today is quite expensive. Not to mention the amount of time it takes to complete it. There are few hands capable of building a high quality bus not to mention will they be using original parts or reproductions due to the availability, time constraint, and cost. Whoever ends up with this beauty will have by far one of the nicest ORIGINAL 1970 Volkswagen Westfalia’s at any event. The bus runs & drives great and has just turned 100k miles. I have not seen another example like this come up for sale for years. Each time I look at these pictures I cannot believe this bus is 40 years old & un restored. How many buses have you seen in this condition after 40 years? This 1970 Volkswagen Westfalia is super solid; it has a very straight body for being 40 years old and untouched. It has a few small dings & nics, which can be easily removed if desired. This is what gives it the character it sports today. Again, this is an un restored vehicle so it has minor blemishes throughout. There is some fraying on the front seats from the sun. The original pop top canvas will need replacing in the future. Good news is all the floors, rockers, & doglegs are SOLID and untouched. You will be HARD PRESSED to find another like this one.
