ok here we go..this is a 1967 plymouth gtx 440. i purchased the car back in october of last year from a guy ct who had owned the car for a number of years and had all the work done to the car. the car is a original 440 car but the motor is not original. it is a 1967 440 block but from another car. the motor was built by precision automotive in simsbury ct. the previous owner paid them $9k to build the motor thats inside this car. im told its a 10 over cam, extimated 400 to 500 hp, its rediculous power as u can tell from driving it but i have not personally had a chance to dyno it. oil pump is welded on, 2500 stall converter 10". this was info i got from him i dont have paperwork for it. the previous owner still has all paperwork on what was done. car has willwood disk brakes in front($1800). line lock installed but not connected. bfg tires all around look good. original leather interior looks good except the front driver seat is torn and could use a recovering. car was painted silver and black in september of 08. taken down to metal no rot found on the fenders. car was parked as a roller for a number of year so it didnt see a lot of road use. true milage unknown currently around 82k on the odometer. could be true milage have no clue. windows may have been replaced at some point. when painted it recieved new front and rear rubber and window skirts. car has a fuel cell installed in trunk. could be converted back to a normal gas tank if desired. defrost and heat work well. no a/c. original wood steering wheel. transmission set up for reverse pattern. basically a standard without a clutch. car goes p,r,d,2,1....1 being the highway gear so its great for street racing down down down.not sure what tranny it is but it was done with the motor. body is straight all the way down the sides no dings or waves. no exterior rust. trunk looks solid could used a scrub with a brush and a coat of primer inside it. car drives fast tires break loose very easy if ur not carefull car needs a few things done to it that i havnt adressed but if i was keeping it i would have this done. front passenger valve cover is leaking oil, in november i tried having this fixed. there are two mopar valve covers in the trunk of the car with gaskets. i asked to have them installed and instead there was miss communication, the mechanic tried fixing the valve cover that still on the car. its still leaking so he didnt do a good job. car is drivable but this should be adressed because the oil drips onto the header. the car has no trunk lock. i currently open it with a flat screw driver by just inserting and turning it. needs to be bought and installed. there is a after market 6" tack installed on the collumn, and three under dash guages installed. they all light up but i dont think any are connected or it could be a fuse. they havnt worked since i got it. previous owner put $ into a new paint job and motor but didnt recrome the mirrors or bumpers to really make the car stand out these need to be done at some point. car is sold as is, all issues to my knowledge i have listed. car is registered and insured in mass. i have a ma title in hand.buyer assumes all shipping or pick up responcability. all sales are final. i reserve the right to end the auction early as i have it for sale locally as well. any more pics or info i can provide if askedOn Jun-02-10 at 20:40:35 PDT, seller added the following information: i added a few more pictures that didnt load originaly for some reason
