1996 Sidekick Sport. 1.8L dual overhead cam. The good. Transmission was just rebuilt at a cost of $1100.00. New clutch, new clutch master cylinder, flywheel turned, new water pump, new timing chain set. The vehicle ran great before I had trans rebuilt. This vehicle has absolutely no rust . The interior is in great shape, no tears or stains on the seats. A/C blows cold. This really is a nice Sidekick. Just needs the right person to make it run again. The bad. While it was down I decided to change the timing chain. I have not been able to get it running since. Now the starter is bad due to cranking while trying to start. I'm sure that if someone knew what they were doing it would not be a big deal to get this running. I'm ready to cut my losses and sell. The motor still has 120-130 psi of compression on all cylinders. The vehicle is complete. The clear coat is starting to release on the top surfaces. This is not a junk vehicle that the pictures makes look good. It is a well maintained clean vehicle that I made an error in thinking I could change the timing chain and have not been able to get running since. I also have the Suzuki dealer repair manual to go with the vehicle. Call if you want to talk about it. 713 504-8874 Joe. The vehicle has been sitting since 2007, up until I had the trans rebuilt 6 months ago I had been starting and letting it run regularly. The gas tank does not smell like the gas has gone bad.
