Black 2003 Goldwing 1800 in very good condition with just under 40,000 one-owner miles and approximately 5,000 miles on its most recent set of tires. Sale includes permanent- mount Garmin Zumo 550 GPS with audio hookup through the bike’s Auxiliary channel. The Zumo 550 is purpose-built for operation while wearing your gloves on but it also comes with a temporary mount and power cord so you can remove it from the bike and use it in another vehicle. The AUX channel jack (inside the left fairing pocket) can also be used to listen to your mp3 player, iPod, radar detector and just about anything else that has a standard stereo mini-jack output. The RAM accessory mount (see picture) can be used to Velcro-mount almost anything (I used it for my radar detector). Add-ons also include a set of Air Wings, the best thing ever invented for a Goldwing. They keep the air off you when it’s cold, and put it on you when it’s warm. The only cosmetic add-on is a Carbon Fiber dash kit, so if you’re the kind of owner that likes to start from scratch and really dress up his ride, this bike is for you. The bike has never been wrecked or seriously damaged in any way. It has the normal dings and other wear which you would expect on any bike with 40,000 miles on it. Everything works and the only thing missing is the little factory tool kit, which I replaced with my own tool kit and then lost in our last household move. I’m keeping my tools so you’ll have to come up with something of your own. (Or take your chances: in 40,000 miles, I never once needed to get out my tool kit!) If you follow Honda Goldwings you may already know that all models in 2003 and one or two other model years had a factory recall to strengthen the frame construction. That recall work was performed on this bike by a Honda dealer in 2005. I will present the receipt to prove it, and I have never experienced any problem with the frame on this bike either before or after the recall work was done. I am selling the bike because we are about to move our household again, this time at our own expense, and this bike is 900 pounds I don’t want to have to pay to move. Separate from the auction, the successful bidder will have the option to purchase two J&M Audio helmet headset/microphone combinations made for full-face helmets, plus two J&M cords which are compatible with those headsets and this bike’s audio system (see pics). That’s a value of approx. $600 if you buy from J&M today, but these are used and while they will work on this bike, J&M considers them “obsolete” for any of their newer applications and equipment. Consequently, the headsets (2) and cords (2) all together will be priced at a non-negotiable total of $200 over and above the final bid price on the bike. If the successful bidder does not want the cords and headsets, you will find them on eBay shortly. The bike is sold as is where is with no warranty from me or Honda so ask ALL questions before bidding. The successful bidder can pick the bike up or arrange and pay for shipping. I will not arrange shipping of any kind but will certainly cooperate in having the bike picked up by the shipper of your choice. Below is the calculation of the buy it now price. The logic behind it is this: the base price of the bike is the Blue Book Retail Value for an “Excellent Condition, Fully Reconditioned” 2003 non-ABS Goldwing 1800, minus $1,000 to account for the fact that this bike has road wear and is not “Fully Reconditioned.” Then I added up the current retail value of all the add-ons, divided that by two and added that to the price base price of the bike.
