For auction is this rare project 68 Chevy Van with the short 90" wheelbase and factory 307 V8 engine and automatic transmission. It has very little rust, a clear VA title and its been stored indoors. I rolled it out of the garage this week to take these photos, and no suprise the brakes still worked well! There are no rust issues with the frame. As you can see from the photos the floors are in great shape and the body is in excellent condition for its age. The 2 front doors are rust free and they open and close fantastic with great hinges. The other doors have various rust issues along the bottoms. None are completely rotted out and could be repaired if you know what you are doing. The drivetrain is all here, though the engine will probably need to be re-built. I know nothing about if it turns or not as I never attempted to start it. It does have keys. It looks like somebody was going to pull the engine to replace or rebuild and never finished the job. The radiator is still in there & the trans and driveshaft are in place. The battery tray is intact as is the large shroud cover that goes under the front to help cool the engine. The seats are in good shape and have been re-covered at some point in the past. If you know anything about this body style van they are almost impossible to find with a factory V8 and the automatic transmission is even harder to locate. This short wheelbase van is also a great one to start with as it is not very rusty. Dont make the mistake of starting a restoration project with a rusted out hulk or with a van that needs alot of floor and body repair: This one is completely serviceable with no need for major body repair. The glass is also very intact with no damage. The front windshield is so clean it almost certainly was replaced once, because they fog up so bad its hard to believe this glass is 40+ years old. Tires are rollers that will hold air long enough to get it home.
