You are bidding on my 2004 Volvo S60R. I am the second owner of the car, I bought the car with 40,XXX miles from a local doctor, and used this as my sales car. The miles are mostly highway driving to and from sales calls. I have to say that the reason I bought the car is because it is by far the most comfortable car I have ever driven, and if you have not experienced the 300HP S60R, it is amazing, the ULTIMATE sleeper car. The interior is immaculate, and the exterior is in good condition. There are the normal minor dings (two small ones in the passenger side back door) nothing overly noticeable. The fuel door is off, this was a common problem, as the connection piece is plastic, I still have the door, just haven't had the chance to order the new piece (inexpensive). The only other issue with the car is it currently won't shift into reverse. The car drives perfectly otherwise, but it will not shift into reverse. I have been told that it is likely that the linkage needs to be replaced or a bearing came loose. Either way, I found out I am moving to California, and don't have the time to figure out what the issue is. It could be something very minor or something more involved, but I am pricing it as though it is going to be involved for a quick sale. So my loss is your potential gain. If you know something about cars and have some time to put into it, you will have an amazing car for a little elbow grease. They stopped making the S60R, so this car can't even be bought anymore and retailed for over $40,000 off the line. Please feel free to ask any follow up questions. ATTENTION: I have gotten a few emails with the same/similar questions, so I will add here to answer them. 1) To describe further, the shifter will not go into reverse, it does not make any odd noises (grinding), it simply doesn't go into the Reverse slot with the stick shift in the car. I have not brought it to Volvo to check out the issue, as, like I said, I just found out that my company is moving me to California and I don't have time to fix and ship this car, I am just buying a new one when I get out there. 2) The timing belt was serviced at 105,000 as is part of the Volvo periodic Service Maintenance. 3) The tires in the front are not bad, but the rears will need replacing in the near future. 4) This car is not a diesel. The default that ebay put in was for a Turbo Diesel, back that is incorrect, they did not make these cars in diesel. Please refer to the 'fuel type: gasoline' to clarify.
