1972 "FISHMOUTH" FORD RANCHERO 500 RESTORATION PROJECT I HOLD ONLY TRUE NO RESERVE AUCTIONS!! This Ranchero should be considered just a project car as it has an excellent body and runs but has mechanical issues. This auction also has NO RESERVE, high bid takes it home. If winning bidder is in Southern California, I can assist with delivery, I also deliver to the shipping terminals in the Los Angeles area on a weekly basis. I do have a few bidder requirements at the bottom of the page, please read them and the entire listing BEFORE placing your bid. Please take the time to view the detailed pictures, I am very thorough when shooting and describing a vehicle and make every effort to catch as much detail as possible! Cosmetically, this Rancheros body is in perfect condition, no dents at all, but plenty of chips, so it needs a repaint. As far as any rust goes, upon close inspection all I see is a repairable dime size bubble on the rear corner of the passenger door (see pics). This car is very solid, bed and undercarriage look excellent, there is no inside bed wall damage as most Rancheros have !!!! All glass looks good, but we do note small scratches on both side windows from being rolled up and down. Doors open and shut very solid and tight. I also have another hood that will go with the car, free to buyer, it is not an induction hood, just a regular stock Ranchero hood. The interior is original and complete but the dash pad needs redone as does the drivers seat. Mechanically, our shop mechanic has inspected the car after being taken out of storage, drained the fuel system and filled with fresh gas. The mechanic states the Ranchero will need the carb rebuilt or replaced as it starts the car but eventually floods and chokes out. He says the engine itself looks to have been replaced at some point but is good internally. He has noted the automatic transmission has NO REVERSE and it also needs some "clean-up" under the hood. If winning bidder is in California, this Ford does not require a state smog check due to the year, so thats a plus. I have in hand the clean and clear California title on this Ford. The car is located in Moreno Valley, California 92551 (Southern California) near March Air Base. I encourage personal inspections and am available Monday-Saturday 8am-4pm for personal viewing.
