After much deliberation I am selling my custom 1961 VW Manx Style Buggy. These hard to come by buggies are great fun both on and off road. Since it's completion last July, this buggy has seen very limited use, and been covered in my garage. I've never been one for garage queens, and that's what this has become so it's time to go. I'd really like to see this buggy go to a good home, I poured my heart into the build on this. Now on to the details The motor is a 74, and I just completed a full top end rebuild last year. It has new cylinders, pistons, rings, heads, valves, push rods, tubes, air cleaner, and other miscellaneous engine bits. It has fresh aluminum flooring, and carpeting. Brand new sport seats, with four point harnesses. Beautiful aluminum wheels, and brand new tires. Fresh paint, with hand painted graphics. This paint job is meant to reflect the Messerschmidt BF-109, and thus displays period German Balkenkreuz, a variation of which is still used today. The electrical system is brand new, and all systems work, making this a street legal vehicle. You really must see and hear it in person to appreciate it. The only bad news is that on the lower section of the very rear there are a couple of small dots, smaller than a pencil eraser where some fuel got dripped and effected the coloration. It never bothered me that much, but you can see it in the pictures. Call for info or to come see it. Thanks.
