On May-25-10 at 20:41:09 PDT, seller added the following information: 1995 Jeep Wrangler YJ Rio Grande 4x4 5-speed. 130k miles on the odometer prior to the restoration. Has been driven less than 300 miles since the restoration was completed in 2010. The Restoration. The jeep tub was completely stripped and sanded down, primed with 2 coats of DuPont Primer, and custom painted with one basecoat of Sherman Williams Ultra7000 ultra white to brighten the upper basecoat, and 2 coats of upper base of Ultra7000 Sherman Williams Flash Red. The paint job was finished with a Sherman Williams UltraClearcoat. The entire tub was painted inside and out. Only a quarter sized area of rust was removed from the bottom of the tub. ABSOLUTELY NO BONDO WAS USED. The Paint Job cost $2000. The Dressings. Chrome Nerf bars, Chrome Front and Rear Tubular Bumpers were installed, with 6" Chrome Halogen Off Road Spotlight Lamps (The chrome dress kit cost $900). New Falken High Country All Terrain Tires on Hard to find Aluminum Alloy Rims from the YJ era ($800), New Windshield($250), Upgraded Jeep TJ Half Doors ($500), Brand New Bestop Soft Top with Tinted Windows and Soft Half Uppers on the Doors ($800), Completely new interior, New Tan Carpet ($150), Custom Diamond Plate Chrome Shifter Floor Cover ($50), Reupholstered Bestop Weatherproof Front Seats ($300), Custom Painted Dash (Sand) to match interior, Tumble Rear Seat ($100), Custom reupholstered (TAN weatherproof marine vinyl) Tuffy Console Lock Box with AIWA CD Player/iPOD player and Kenwood 6x9 High Output Speakers ($400), Overhead Padded, Weatherproof Jeep Sound Bar with 2 Pioneer mid-to-upper range speakers ($100), and a subwoofer tube behind the rear seats ($100)--all powered by a Sony Xplode 600W Amp tucked neatly under the drivers seat ($250). Aftermarket Coolant temp backlit gauge ($50) installed to replace nonfunctional stock guage. Have all receipts for purchases and all new parts are still under warranty. Engine. A newly rebuilt 4.2L Straight 6 stroker with hundreds in new accessories originally powered this restored jeep. However, it would not comply with California emissions laws. Thus, it was pulled last week. I have a rebuilt 95 Fuel Injected 4.0 Straight 6 with a brand new high output head, ready to go in. As of today, May 25th, 2010, the engine has not been installed. Most shops charge about $500-700 to install a Jeep 4.0 Engine. Please bid accordingly. Auction includes new engine whether in the vehicle or not. A New Radiator was installed ($200), Cherry bomb exhaust ($100) (loud and turns heads), and new fuel lines. There is a chance that I may have the new engine installation completed by the end of the auction. If so, I will update this description. For now, thought the price reflects the vehicle as is. I have invested well over $10,000.00 into the jeep. Also included is a Reese Towbar ($200) for towing the vehicle behind an RV. Shortcomings are mostly cosmetic and minor. There is a very small buckle in the tub near the left fender that doesn't show up in the photos. There is a small crease on the drivers side door corner--very minor, that happened when the door was accidentally dropped on its corner while taking it off. The paint on the edges of the fender flares is chipped away in some places and on the drivers side windshield hinge. It could very easily be touched up. The rear tailgate requires a little muscle to latch firmly. The stock temp guage does not work. An aftermarket guage has been installed in its place.
