You are bidding on a 1946 Willy's CJ2A 4x4 Jeep that has been completly restored in a military/army theme. Used in parades and military dedications by a 82nd Airborne/Army Ranger Pennsylvania Military Color Guard. The jeep is a real head-turner and has overgone a complete restoration from the body to the engine. 72,675 original miles. The current engine is a completely overhauled, 134 overhead valve F-Head. Rated at approximately 72 horsepower. The body is virtually rust free. Over 75% of the body is original metal, and any part of the body that was rusted was replaced. Floor boards and undercarriage are in great condition. They were completely sanded and painted. All the seats have been professionally repadded and recovered using authentic World War II type material. The body was repainted military Olive Drab with authentic U.S. Army military paint. The military insignias are a mixture of professionally painted emblems and vinyl reproduction decals. Here is a list of the engine,drivetrain, and other maintenance (records included) performed at a cost of over $6,000: Remove heads, pistons, oil pant and other parts. Clean Block and all motor parts. Honed cylinders, cleaned pistons and rods. Disassembled head, cleaned head and parts, reassembled head with new seats. Installed head and all parts. Replaced cap and rotor. Removed master cylinder, clean, hone, paint, and install. Remove and rebuild carburetor. Replaced oil filter base. Installed steel oil lines. Overhauled radiator. Replaced fuel lines. Replaced fuel filter. Replaced water pump. Removed and plugged both ends of coolant hose and installed oil pressure guage kit. Replaced spark plugs. Replaced fuses. Remove alternator and adjust shim bracket to line up pulleys for belt. Replace brake flex hoses. Replaced all belts. Replace muffler and tailpipe. Installed vacuum lines for windshield wipers. Repaired and replaced lights and wiring. Repaired and replaced wiring for front marker lights. Build and install battery hold down straps. Replaced battery. Removed front and rear break drums, cleaned all parts, rebuilt wheel cylinders, and installed new brake drums. Drained and replaced break fluid. Replaced transfer output seal, front drive shaft. Tightened left front body mount. Replaced wheel studs and nuts. The tires are 5 matched, practically brand new, NDT 600/16 Military Tires with tubes. Aside from the spare which was never used, there is only approximately 150 miles on the tires. All gauges (fuel, oil pressure, amp, and temperature) are new Sunpro gauges in perfect working order. The speedometer is original. Top speed for the jeep is between 45 and 50 MPH. All electronics and lights are in functioning condition. Another extra/spare engine for the jeep will also be included with this auction, a 4-cylinder Flathead. Rated at approximately 60 horsepower. This engine needs to be reassembled. Clean title with current Pennsylvania inspection. Note, bricks seen under the tires are to prevent an accidental rollback should the jeep accidentally come out of gear.
