You are looking at an ALL ORIGINAL 1979 F150 (All but the rims) 93.468 Original Miles This truck has never had any exterior body or paint work, and has never had the motor or transmission taken apart, other than gaskets and fluid changes for general maintenence. This truck was purchased by my Grandmother and her then Boyfriend in the Fall of 1979 After her death in 2001 my parents got this truck at which time it was used as an extra work truck for the family. I bought it from my parents in 2004. This truck was used as a spare vehicle and driven weekly up until last fall. This would be an excellent truck to restore, fix the little things and keep driving it or use it for a parts truck. If it were a 4X4 I would keep it & restore it for my son. The Grille Shell & Body side trim alone are worth $600 to $700 all in excellent to Near Mint condition. I'm pretty sure I could get more than my $1500 just by parting this truck out. It has a whole lot of great condition O.E.M parts The Good Excellent running & driving 351M C6 Auto Transmission Excellent 9" Ford Rearend No dents or rust on the original hood or front fenders Passenger door excellent shape small crease Driver door rust on bottom edge Seat like new, door panels are in excellent shape, dash pad great shape. Heater works great All good glass (rear window is an after market slider) All lights & horn work for inspection Truck never has & does not overheat & carrys decent oil pressure. Cab in overall Good condition (see below) The Bad Needs Southern Bed (has bedliner to hold in the cargo) Needs Battery Needs 4 Shocks Needs Paint Needs Driver side floor pan replaced (has been patched for inspection) Has hole in the cab behind the seat on the passenger side (pretty easy fix) Needs all new window seals & weatherstrips Has some rust on frame, still has some of the factory undercoat No body trim on tailgate Needs Inspection I think I have listed pretty much everything I can think of that the truck needs If you had a dealer tag or temporary plate you could drive this truck home.
